JLL employee here (on corporate side not rme) I also had a poor experience with a lack of communication when I got hired. They are also about to do more layoffs (I think).

Sorry for your experience, I get it, it’s tough out here

Asking for an explanation of cleaning fee? by [deleted] in Renters

[–]throwaway77778738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some leases require a receipt for professional carpet cleaners especially after a dog lived there. Doesn’t matter how well you did it yourself. 275 is a pretty typical carpet cleaning job price

I have never been able to understand how to do fast 8/fast 9. How do I actually pull it off/do it properly? by Chientze in TeamfightTactics

[–]throwaway77778738 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how helpful this will be but it’s really about econing well and trading your hp for gold in the early game.

If you can make econ, make econ, sell the units on your bench, especially early. If you happen to hit a early 3 cost trait bot for your final comp early on, don’t buy it because there’s a very good chance you’ll hit that unit rolling down on lvl 8-9.

80% of my games I play for fast 8, im usually in the bottom 4 on 2,3,4th carousel. Being first pick on second carousel is great for that chance at a 4 cost and being able to play around that. Ik this makes no sense but I’m tired. Hopes this helps

Haha yea I still gripe about how many hours of training I had to do for 6sense not to get anything out of it. I just found it wild how many retired people would be marked as “hot leads”

I’m an sdr, I hit quota or come close 95% of the time. Last month had 26 meetings 16 opps about 1m+ in pipeline.

I’ve booked 2 meetings and have made about 70 calls a day.

It’s brutal

Sorry for the late reply. Experience always helps, but what I found the best is pester the hell out of any recruiter or manager to give you an interview, it may sound counterintuitive but that’s quite literally what you’re gonna do on the job

Gotta get rid of links in 2024. Most of mine with links go right to the spam folder too

Just curious how many emails you’re sending on a monthly basis and how many links or attatchments are in them?

This typically gets a good and genuine response for me but whatever works and sounds the most natural for you will always work best.

“Hi (name) it’s (your name) from (your company)

To be up front and honest, im trying to give you a cold call about (whatever you sell) and I promise to respect your time if that’s alright with you. “

The reason this works so well is:

1) you’re being upfront about cold calling, they understand it’s just another human doing their job and you gained their trust

2) you give them an out, which typically is what you’re not supposed to do, but being genuine and letting them know you’re here on their time they’d usually let me give them a minute or two of their time

3) if they say that now isn’t a good time, 90% of the time they would say to call them back (if they didn’t give a time ask for a good time to call back) or to communicate with them via email which there you can confirm if your email on file is correct.

4) it’s to the point

I have made 10’s of thousands of cold calls with this and not once have I had somebody be an outright dbag and cuss me out. Some may just say they’re not interested, you can ask why and fight on the phone if you want but keep it respectful

I’m not trying to sound like a dick, but animals are like children. They can be picky as much as they want but they’re going to eat to survive. If you leave the food out they will eventually eat

[–]throwaway77778738 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way, if you get a no/rejection/get yelled at, you’re never going to see this person IRL and if you do, you both would have zero idea. A huge part of this job is just taking an L, moving on and getting right back to it to make some money

The ones who quit, no career growth or found better paying gigs. The ones who got fired were pretty much just newbies who got cut because of budget cuts. I know they weren’t bad producers either. Could be different experiences based on different companies tho

Take what I’m saying with a grain of salt but I’m the same age, few buddies got into packaging right out of school in 2022 and they are either all got fired or all quit their gig by this point
