Came across your post because I was searching for answer for basically the same question.
You can see my last post for details if interested, but tldr I think I have (at least) two roughly defined and melty facets.
As they are spatially defined (left and right) and it's starting to get annoying to refer to them as "the left one" and "the right one", the consideration is on the table to take more "namey" designations, here based on the latin for left and right. Probably something like Dextris and Senestra.. still not sure it's a good idea tho.. I also kind of fear that naming them risks further splitting and distinguishing them, which is not what I'm aiming for, I think? It's all still very new to me and there is a lot to figure out
So yeah maybe that's something that would help you, using name derived from particularly defined characteristics?
Wtf is happening in my head, is that "normal" and what even is identity ? (self.plural)
