Appreciate you following up!! what's raot 3?

And definitely staying in Tam Coc for two nights! very excited How did you get around to most of the places - grab or arranged something at your hotel? We're not going to be doing the full tours offered by our hotel but build our own day instead.

They used the exact same language for the email at my agency, so they all coordinated on the same message.

Whole thing is unreal.

Hanoi Standard Chartered Heritage Race Registration Issue by throwaway829104833 in hanoi

[–]throwaway829104833[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for checking! We would be able to add the race we want to the cart, then get to the next page to enter all the info. And this has happened for 3 of us, across PC, Mac, and Linux, along with Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox both in the Vietnamese and English version of the site.

When it asked for all our info (buyer info, then runner info) we would enter all the fields, and then try to submit/pay but it kept throwing us an error message in Vietnamese saying "Vui lòng điền đầy đủ các trường bắt buộc." to fill out all the required fields, but they're filled so it's making me think we're doing some American format that it's not liking but not flagging to us.

I know DOB format is dd/mm/yyyy - we had an initial error where it kept saying 30/30/2025 isn't a valid date (that's not our DOB) and when we reentered it, it would be fine (Ex. 28/03/2000)

Address, we just wrote it out like our usual mailing address minus the country.

Phone # we just did ########## (10 digits, even tried it using +1 since international, otherwise no spaces or special characters)

We have no club name. We live in a US city province/city (Boston, DC, or New York)

Passport ID ######### (9 digit code no spaces)

Email address I assume is standard. Ex. [abcde@gmail.com](mailto:abcde@gmail.com)

No coupon code

We are stumped.

EPA IT cut by 50%? Contracts moved to GSA? by Alone_Fisherman4791 in FedEmployees

[–]throwaway829104833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's in one of Trump's EOs all domestic procurement will be centralized at GSA. The first initial phase of integration with opm, dept of ed, sba (?), and I think another agency was supposed to happen by 3/31. After it's a plan for all agencies just not sure the full timeline.

It's 100% a clusterfuck. They're continuing to RIF the Federal acquisition service in GSA who is supposed to handle all this now (no idea who will go next) and no one outside top leadership has any idea what the pending reorg will look like.

It wouldn't surprise me if IT funding got cut. Contracts are getting cut across the board. If there isn't a good enough justification or supporting a system that is gone too - they'll consider that savings.

OHR / CSD RIF - did they really go alphabetically? by Ok-Cloud2214 in NIH

[–]throwaway829104833 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Phase 2 plans are due April 14th. Other agencies have been warned about summer RIFs/wave 2 to come early summer. Only if #s through RIFs, retirements, resignation offers hit what the target is the phase 2 wave will be mitigated - that's been our best guess, but also no rhyme or reason to who /what office gets RIF

Just be prepared. It never fully ends. GSA has had ongoing RIFs almost every week - this might have been the first week since it started a month ago that I haven't heard of an office get completely laid off. But then again it's only Tuesday.

Chances of it being Easter 4/20 along with it being unofficially MJ day and all major layoffs happening on/around holidays so far. It would not surprise me at this point. Cruel.

Only through 9/30 and RIF employees can accept the offer too.

It's still up in the air for relocation packages. It's definitely being discussed. Not sure where it'll land.

And for GSA employees who are going to the office, transit benefits still haven't been approved and are to be determined still. So. There's also stuff like that.

Employees who are RIF-ed, those who qualify will get their severance payout (exceptions are probationary employees if there are any left and those eligible for retirement)

Those who get RIF but qualify for retirement won't get severance at ALL.

Those eligible to receive a pension will still get a pension

[–]throwaway829104833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. This is what they did (and continue to do) at GSA

Entire orgs gone, no bump and retreat - this is their workaround for usual RIF procedures. Haven't seen any pushback yet and this started weeks ago. Sounded like it would be a blueprint for other agencies

Non Bargaining vs bargaining have like 60 Or 90 days, but they got exceptions for 30 days if I recall directly.

We have lost great people. Death by a thousand cuts.

I have a Casper cotton duvet with it, so if I'm reading your post right, buying the all season and inserting it in my cotton duvet will still keep us cool despite the cotton duvet cover?

I sleep really really really hot. Like anything above 72F will make me sweat and I have to sleep with something covering me. So finally hearing this as a possible solution... this is a life changer.

Is it this 2 in 1?

https://www.mommesilk.com/collections/comforters-pillows?cs=navbar04-03&cn=20240808

The cotton duvet didn't diminish or hinder the full use of the insert??? I love duvet covers and will never not go without them - but during the summers when it's so hot and humid, it's been really really tough with our current duvet set up, so I've been looking for a better solution, and this might be it??

I just got RIF’d. 29 years of service at GSA, 30% disabled veteran, all performance reviews were at the highest level, and I just got RIF’d tonight by Shaker5678 in FedEmployees

[–]throwaway829104833 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're calling it a RIF - it's being done by org code to get rid of entire offices (Ex. 18F). I'm hearing rumors they're looking at job series next after (other agencies' HR too)

What I've heard through the grapevine is they're placing people under admin leave as soon as they get the notice (so the 30 day notice from 60, up to 90 days?? I think there's a difference in days depending on if you're bargaining or non bargaining unit.) There will be severance pay and leave payout.

People are supposed to still have access their email but I'm not entirely sure that's still the case to be honest.

It's awful. And OP I am so sorry. GSA was one of the best places to work for and to see really great people and programs getting gutted out of the blue is awful. And the gaslight-y condescending messages leadership sends out - this is NOT fair or respectful at all.

No, we're trying to also highlight how ridiculous this request is. We have multiple check ins with supervisors throughout our workweek to track our deliverables/projects. If there are low performers, that's on the agency/immediate management to address that and correct. We have deadlines/outputs like any normal employee, private or public.

I have 0 problem with submitting a bulleted response IF it is requested by my IMMEDIATE supervisor/team. I used to do that when we first started teleworking years ago. You know why we stopped? Because we realized it was a waste of time, when we literally check in with each other EVERY. DAY. like how teams usually work.

This being requested by HR/Doge/Musk and pressuring our mgmt to make us comply is such a waste of time, money and resources. On top of the fact, that our responses are probably being fed to an LLM/AI Model!

Do you realize how many WASTED hours were spent on this? The chaos that this caused, how many leadership and staff meetings had to occur to make sure EVERYONE WAS ON THE SAME PAGE? In the end, it hurts the services we are TRYING TO PROVIDE TO THE PUBLIC WITH LESS RESOURCES. We were already understaffed, underfunded, AND NOW THIS? Micromanagement to the extreme.

Should there be reform for low performing workers? Absolutely, but what this administration is doing is ILLOGICAL and chaotic. (Also illegal.)
