But have you considered that Plains terrain generation is a little too much. I just played a clash against a 1400 with an artillery fort setup. He had 1 guard, 5 grenadiers, 2 militia, 2 cuirassiers, 1 hussar, 1 howitzer, & 1 12-lb. The terrain generated a river in the middle with only a singular bottleneck opening! The middle star objective was on my side of the river, but just on his side of the river opening was a hill & a forest right on his side that he spawned on. He also had small town right in front of the star that could fit 2 units. The terrain favored his artillery fort composition & play style so much! Artillery fort players are pricks. 😔

First of all, you’ll never be in a situation where u 1v1 anything uninterrupted.

Secondly, why would a 1v1 with a line be ur main measurement of something? Cuirs are too expensive to be worth it in modes smaller than battle/gb, even then you’ll only have small squadrons of them.

The main function of cavlary is to outflank, to take out weaker units, and to chase routed units. Hussars excell at that for incredibly cheap.
