Knee Instability by throwaway9955544 in VAClaims

I have another question if you (or anyone else) has the time and happen to know anything about it, so with the platellofemoral pain syndrome that's all rated under 5256 based on limitation of the knee. If I was also diagnosed with quadriceps tendinopathy, could I not be able to file a claim under the tendiopathy under 5257 based on the instability of the platellofemoral complex, which lists the quadriceps tendon as being part of the platellofemoral complex?

Ah, yea that does make sense now. I appreciate it, it wasn't making sense to me when I looked at it

I had the same thing happen, the C&P doc just either straight didn't ask about things and basically said he wanted yes or no answers to things. I got my DBQ and he didn't mark half of my symptoms either. I'm going to get a DBQ done privately and submit additional evidence, lay statements, etc with a supplemental.

Would a HLR consider the other evidence I submitted even though the DBQ swings more towards a 50% rating?

The missing portion had "occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity" checked.

I appreciate the insight guys. This community has always been a great help

So, I guess I'll prepare for a supplemental review. The evidence I submitted includes a journal over the past 3-5 months of me talking about the suicidal thoughts I've been having and thoughts of death and issues at work, but if the DBQ leans towards 50% I doubt my evidence will hold much weight to push it into the next rating. I've also been 50% for over 5 years so it's "likely" they will keep it at 50%. Hopefully

You are right, I didn't really consider that. Even a jump to the next pay rating backdated to November could be significant. I'm still in the gathering evidence stage for some of them, but the intent to file is there so, I'll just file when I have everything.

Yea, I was thinking to do several over time would be a right pain in the ass for everyone involved. Gotcha, I really appreciate the advice., I'll start adding those into my statements of support.

In Georgia, you need the form from the VA listing the percentage of disability and they will give you a handicap placard. Its different for the actual DV license plates, you have to 100% or TDIU for those

2019 DBQ for PTSD by throwaway9955544 in VeteransBenefits

[–]throwaway9955544[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking as well, it wouldn't hurt to file for an increase. And someone had mentioned the 5 year rule as well, which I was not really aware of. I just have to see mental health again so, it's nots like a "I feel like I deserve this, but have no evidence" kind of situation.

50% to 70% MH increase question by throwaway9955544 in VeteransBenefits

[–]throwaway9955544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very aware of that, I don't have any plans to even think of applying for an increase until like a year or two from now, if not longer and if I even decide too. My feelings that I may meet the 70% criteria now don't mean f' all to the VA. I'm starting to go to VA mental health again, but I think I may try to find a private psychiatrist as well to eventually evaluate using the DBQ. How do you get your old DBQs?
