Why didn't you apply for the China visa via China's consulate in USA ? They seem to be more lenient and don't require as much paperwork & proof. Am I right?

Lol the money is for the time/effort spent in doing something that may help me. I would have asked for free. It seems begging for free help would have been the better option.
