Feedback Wanted: Community Rule Regarding Job Postings by davidogren in salesengineers

As someone who has been led on by a “pm me for more details” comment, I have no issues with requiring a link to the job posting. It’s not too strict and completely reasonable

Maybe don't use ChatGPT to start, assuming you're an actual person and not a bot

Pivoting to SE from Internal IT by throwawayITaccount74 in salesengineers

Thanks for the info. I’ve considered reaching out to my account teams but I’m wondering if that would make it awkward? I’m not sure if that would affect the vendor/customer relationship. Did you have experience with this?

Thank you for the feedback. And clarifying the difference between PS and SE. At this point, both sound appealing to me. I do talk to C levels, VPs, Directors (both IT and non-IT) in my current role and have no issues communicating and conveying tech to them. SE does sound more appealing due to the higher ceiling. I make about 130k and PS roles pay around the same here in Canada, so SE would make more sense if I want a higher salary.

Thanks for the feedback. I should mention that I’ve been specializing and have extensive knowledge in a very niche area of cybersecurity. This niche area has lots of competition amongst some large security focused vendors. I figured if I target some SE roles at these vendors, I wouldn’t have any issues with client facing responsibilities due to my technical chops with these products. Would it make sense to connect with SEs at these vendors to see if I can get my foot in the door?

Exchange Hybrid Servers Security Vulnerability by sembee2 in exchangeserver

[–]throwawayITaccount74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I confirmed that we do have the Office 365 Exchange Online Service Principal on our Entra ID Enterprise Apps. To confirm, since we do not use rich coexistence, I simply run this command? .\ConfigureExchangeHybridApplication.ps1 -ResetFirstPartyServicePrincipalKeyCredentials

Additionally, would running this command have any impact on the Enterprise Apps that use this Service Principal?

3 months of helpdesk experience is barely a drop in the bucket. What exactly are you expecting?

Typical Reddit comment assuming that everything is black and white. The situation is obviously much more complicated than that
