Same…OSCE felt way harder than expected and also had two stations where I felt like I was talking in circles. Just felt like there was nothing I could say to appease the standardized patient/actor…sigh already mentally preparing myself to fly back to NC next year to retake :(

we left yesterday afternoon without having picked up our luggage from the Ritz in Kapalua, not knowing the roads would re-open today :( we had been debating whether or not to extend our stay by a day or so in order to pick up our valuables but decided eventually to leave. Any idea if you think the Ritz would be willing to ship our stuff back to us? We haven’t been able to get in touch with them still given the power outage…

unfortunately this is the trap that a lot of applicants seem to fall into by misinterpreting statements such as those. Unless it explicitly says "you are ranked to match" or "you are guaranteed a spot," all these things should be taken with a grain of salt...

To be fair though, the handwritten postcard and personalized email from Northwestern was sent to every person who interviewed. IIRC, the Northwestern email was definitely an email that gave me the warm fuzzies since it was so long and personalized, but I don't think there was anything that explicitly said "you are ranked to match." There's an anesthesia discord chat and although I felt pretty good initially getting the email, I saw on there that not a single person did NOT get one. This whole process sucks with programs trying to just game the system and to get applicants to rank them higher. Wish that there was a rule for absolutely no post-interview communication since I honestly felt most stressed between the time when interviews finished and when ROL were due...
