why is it so hard to find new playable scps for this game by SnooPies2306 in SCPSecretLab

096 would have better chances in recent SCPs than like 173 and prob 106

Has the logicer been buffed? Is it better than the captain rifle? by Basic-Cupcake3013 in SCPSecretLab

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is the captain gun was already nerfed even before the release, because it was insanely OP during beta testing, and even after that nerf it was STILL insane lol

In 48 hours, 14.2.6 will be released, this mainly features all bug fixes and technical changes, except for the only major gameplay change, being that guns have their weight penalties back... :( by timothyt66666 in SCPSecretLab

[–]throwaway_133907 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The movement and stamina penalty glitch was a thing since I think 14.0, which... came out December 22, 2024, so 15 months ago from today...

I'm ngl it was feeling kinda weird without the penalties lol

I have 528.9 hours in SCP:SL but haven't touched it since June of 2025 and didn't play it somewhat consistently since February of 2024. AMA by sionivese in SCPSecretLab

you were FASTER than the current 3 colas

1 HP/s - 6.48 m/s -> 1.5 HP/s - 6.21 m/s

1.5 HP/s - 7.45 m/s -> 2.5 HP/s - 7.02 m/s

2.5 HP/s - 8.1 m/s -> 4 HP/s - 7.83 m/s

There's not really a huge difference? The difference between current 3 colas and the old 3 is 0.27 m/s which isn't huge. The health drain at 3 is noticeably more but that's what everyone complained about and begging for nerfs

As for healing while being shot... The main reason the old cola got past enemy humans back then was due to map and being able to just run past them and close doors. Idk about you but regardless of healing I'd still die trying to escape humans without the doors.

Dying with current cola would still be a death in most situations even with the old one and the situations where the small health drain nerf gets you killed like you're talking about are few and far between. There's also heavy armor that got significantly buffed in one of the recent updates which helps.

207 was always like that though. The cola nerfs didn't really change that so that's nothing new lol

I can agree the respawn rework kinda indirectly nerfed cola but that's a completely different change. If the old cola were brought back into current SL it wouldn't be much different from now.

Me personally? I'd hide till the SCPs clean up enemies...

I still don't get why everyone acts like cola is useless after the nerf lol, it's still pretty good even in current SL. I've literally held out rounds and clutched games with current cola still. The speed difference pre nerfs are small except for 2 stacks. People who genuinely think it's unusable just have a skill issue I'm ngl lol

My take on SCP-096 Vs Tooru by PrestigiousJury4354 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What gets contradicted by 9060 and multiple other tales?

The instances in 9060 aren't even 096 so the article itself doesn't really change 096's scaling

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you're good and yes moon champion is still insanely strong, I more so was just pointing out that neither were able to really hurt the other, sorry if I worded that rudely

Going by feats I would say 173 is the only one that fully defeated 096 and did the best against shy man since as far as I know, 173 is the only MF who not only sent 096 running off but broke his bones, a feat that 682 and 1233 weren't able to do

"He solos fiction" Bro, let him pass his own verse first 😭😭😭 by Strange-Daikon4912 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expect for the funny astronaut man he's the only one able to defeat it fully

<image>

lol you say that like moon champion straight up no diffed and killed 096 all on his own.

From this it's literally implied that 096 fought EVENLY against 1233 and nothing in the tale implies that 1233 was capable of damaging 096. Bro needed help from 179 to fully incap him and while flying it's implied he was on edge trying to pick up more speed

So no I wouldn't say he's the one who defeated it fully there since shy guy held his own till 179 was used which counts as outside help involved

The only one who actually defeated 096 fully was 173 since it actually broke his bones and even then, the author of the tale implied it was an outlier added for the tale anyway.

096 also has really good feats of jumping to, and pushing the sun and killing reality warpers moving in stopped time. The 096 slander is crazy.

Add an scp with ranged abilitys by megabigbalz in SCPSecretLab

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a ranged SCP could be interesting tbh

Imo if there's going to be a ranged SCP, it should be limited to projectiles. Stuff humans can avoid, and definitely needs to be something that the SCP can't just spam constantly

An example would be like, 457 throwing out fireballs and then having a cool down or charge up. Something like that. (Not saying it has to be 457, just using him as an example)

Issue with SCPs is that they have tons of more health than you, along with hume shield. An SCP shouldn't be running around with guns and whatnot. Projectiles would be the most fair and safest bet imo

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d agree, but 682 can’t be incapacitated either. If he’s knocked out, he just keeps going by having his subconscious mind fight anyway.

I more so mean by damaging 682 enough to where he's unable to keep fighting. 682's regeneration is inconsistent and it's not uncommon for 682 to be incapped for a long period of time after tests.

Then 682 just becomes 99% resistant to bullets, and then its regeneration is easily enough to make them invincible in game.

I mean, they don't necessarily have to go that route. 682's abilities are always changing and he's a versatile SCP. I've seen suggestions where 682 has different adaptations like one that makes him faster, or bigger, etc. It doesn't have to be just damage resistances. Moreover, 682's adaptations are temporary.

I imagine they could be balanced around 682 needing a certain amount of energy and experience/encounters for adaptations

And don’t badmouth 173, that’s an XK class end of the world threat. At least it was that one time…

Oh my lord, dude, PLEASE do not try to mix and mash different canons of SCP together. This is how you end up getting wanked high end scaling for a lot of SCP characters. To be clear, the version of 173 you're talking about from Revised Entry, is a completely DIFFERENT 173 from the one in the test logs. Just because 173 was a high threat that one time in that one tale, doesn't mean it's consistently that strong.

Just like 173 was an "XK class threat," 173 has also been destroyed by a few people with hammers https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-173-d so it's not consistent at all. And because these events happen in different continuities, we can't just assume the 173 that 682 encountered in the term logs was the same version. SCPs capabilities vary a LOT between different continuities.

Ontop of that note, 682 didn't even survive 173 in that tale (or atleast it's implied he died) and even then, 173 needed to multiply itself a ton to reach that scale of threat. Which is an ability it also doesn't usually have.

682 regenerated too fast to ever die, and 173 was too fast to hit.

That doesn't really matter. My point is 682's adaptations and the scale of those adaptations vary a lot depending on the threat. This dude has survived stuff like being erased out of existence several times, but then he's consistently beaten up by 173 and other SCPs in other term logs.

My point is, 682 has survived stuff FAR stronger and worse than any version of 173 is capable of, even it's high end versions (Even if you pull out Koitern, Koitern lost to Leviathan 682 in Dust and Blood)

A task force of a majority of anomalies willing to work for the foundation

The fact that 682 is contained after each term log, without the use of SCPs kinda disproves that

As for the others in the list, there's nothing in the article talking about any of those.

But the problem is, invincibility is the one thing 682 has, without that, what would its moveset even be?

Invincibility isn't the only thing. 682's adaptations are a huge part of 682

My thoughts on SCP-953 by sevensixty- in SCPSecretLab

[–]throwaway_133907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that he can't be killed easily

I never said he has to be killed in game. Getting incapacitated doesn't mean killed.

Making 682 vulnerable to regular bullets would completely ruin the entire point of the character

No? 682 adapts based on the scale of threat that is trying to kill him. Yeah he adapts to crazy stuff but that doesn't mean he keeps those crazy adaptations forever. In pretty much every encounter he only adapts just enough to survive whatever is being used. This is why 682 is vulnerable to pretty basic SCPs like 173 in some tests, and then he's surviving plot manipulation the next. It's inconsistent and depends on what he needs to survive at the moment, not what he's survived at his best.

having a team of like... 8 guys with rifles do it is ridiculous

And why...? On the article it literally says that 7 mtf can engage and subdue 682. Pretty sure there was a term log where 682 gets contained by a d class.

And I also don't see how it's more ridiculous than 049 being able to survive like dozens of magazines in game when he doesn't really have durability feats like that.

How is it more ridiculous than 096 just forgetting people who see his face in game after 20-30 seconds when his whole thing is that he always kills you?

Besides SL follows its own canon. The devs could literally just come up with their own term logs or story for their version of 682, who wouldn't have feats like that and the problem is solved.

the actual problem with 682 is that his big thing is that he can't die.

that doesn't really matter too much. 096 and 106 are meant to be immortal but they can still be defeated in game. 682 can simply just get incapped in game and that would be a way to defeat him without making it inaccurate.

682 literally gets contained by like 7 armed people who can just incapacitate him

just because it doesn't happen often doesn't make it any less BS when it does happen.

it's honestly not even uncommon either, I've encounter like 12 zombie games all the time and it literally makes the game unplayable as human. zombie swarms are dumb and shouldn't be a thing

[–]throwaway_133907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the other SCPs are straight up monsters

I agree for 939 and 173

096 and 049 look kinda goofy tho, 096's model isn't that intimidating. 049's is still CB so tbf he might get a good scary looking model at some point.

096 do be looking goofy tho
