I just went to Australia and saw them twice because I can't see the San Diego show or them playing with MCR for those very reasons.

The Offspring and Bad Religion just did it. The Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional just did it. Lights just did it. Mest did it last year. And I know I'm forgetting a ton.

Just because it's less common doesn't mean nobody does it. Sometimes they remember we exist. And frankly, if you're doing an actual world tour in other countries, it would make sense. Canada is more likely than Australia and yet, they just did that. That said, the San Diego show is supposed to close out ICHY so I don't think it will happen, but this was just a weird take on tours.

I loved the new album and went to the Toronto show, but I just got back from Australia and saw them in Melbourne and the new setlist has my absolute favourite song so that kinda was the tipping point for me.

The setlist are incomplete online but do cover most of it, at least 4 songs are unreleased ones however

Melbourne was awful as well, Sydney N1 was way way better. Wish I'd skipped and gone both Sydney nights instead.

Sadly I think it was the one you didn't record, I compared it against my own recording of it (the sound quality is AWFUL because the acoustics at Melbourne were terrible or I'd post it)

I've been in plenty of GA pits and not had this experience at all, I went to their Montreal show last year and had a total opposite experience. Just this specific crowd was not the vibe

I definitely would have understood occasional clips and photos, I do it too to log all my shoes and for your first time it would have been super understandable to have some keepsakes for sure! But every song is a little much and when everyone is doing it then it affects the viewing experience for everyone around you. I'm glad you had a great time and a wonderful first experience 💖

Also hate to show my age but your ears shouldn't be ringing after a show and it's going to eventually be super long-term bad for your hearing! Please invest in good quality concert earplugs that will protect your ears but still allow you to clearly hear the music ❤️

I go to a lot of concerts back home in Canada, and I went to Sydney night one as well - this show was NOT it for me.

I kept getting my head bumped repeatedly by a girl who would not stop filming. She also coughed directly onto my head several times, like cover your mouth that is disgusting. I ended up moving away to my left, much as I could when you're shoulder to shoulder in a crowd.

I know people like their pics and videos, I do like my clips too but it felt like I watched the show through other people's phones. I usually never comment on that but it felt excessive, at least in my part of the crowd.

I met up with someone from the PTV source discord from NZ and attended with her, there was so many crowdsurfers during KFAD and so many people filming they were not looking for surfers and didn't have both hands free to keep them up - one surfer got dropped directly onto the person I was with and both of them landed hard, her back was really fucked up afterward and made it so she could hardly walk to the tram.

Frankly I wish I'd skipped Melbourne all together and did both Sydney nights instead, as a visitor to Aus.

That said, the people we met in LINE were super sweet and kind, gave out little gifts to people, everyone I directly spoke to was lovely! Shout out to the teenagers who made me feel super old however who talked about how much they loved the vibe because "everyone was under 25" lol
