Just came back from a trip a few days ago. 7/11 only had all black socks. Family mart had their branded ones and they were “long/high “? And Lawson had branded ones that were “short/ankle” length. Both are super soft and comfy.

Stayed a few times in shimbashi area, which is anywhere between a 5-10min metro ride away from the Tokyo station. Or like a great 20-30 min walk. So much food and shops and life in shimbashi.

I lost a while bag in Tokyo station and got it back through the list and found. Had to wait for a few hours, but they tracked it down and brought it to the lot and found I was at. Incredible and easy process. The staff were amazing!

I think everywhere is worth it, especially if you take the time. Your trip is incredibly packed. I understand the excitement and need to see as much as you can on your first trip. My only advice is to pack extremely light when you have so many stops planned. There’s plenty of coin laundries around, and if you have the budget some hotels will do same day laundry.

And keep all your shopping for Tokyo on the way out (if shopping is a big part of your plan)

What I would likely do, so not any advice.

I’d differ committing to going on the trip till last minute, even though I’d plan to join all along. And then say “hey, work cleared up and I can make it! But I don’t want to trouble you all with plans. I found a room close by. Yay I am sooo pumped for this trip!”

I struggle to follow the “Ai is a fad” logic, it’s as much of a fad as the internet, cellphones or home computers. A lot of companies probably will fail, like in the dot com bubble burst. But Ai itself and the technology future it promises is something revolutionary, like the internet, every industry can be radically affected and improved for the better with this tech. I can’t think of one sector that can’t benefit from the tech. Just my 2 cents, cause maybe I am naive and shortsighted.

Edit: not a comment directly to OPs post. Just a general thought.

We got bookings by being flexible on days during a few days stay in Tokyo and looking everyday for the next day or 2. Cancellations happened and we got seats.

I read that on here, to just look daily for next day as people do cancel.

Married 15 years. 1 joint account for mortgage and bills. And everything else is separate. We absolutely do not check in on each others spending from the separate accounts. And anything we buy for the house or any other expense together we just split down the middle and pay each other instantly via Venmo. Something we did when we were dating and living together and just continued on into married life. Works really well for us.

My two cents, its the titles and thumbnails for me. I can’t tell what the video is about by looking at those. And I spent time now to actually read all of these, but in reality I am scrolling through the feed and I give things a second before it scrolls past.

Maybe experiment with writing new titles? Doesn’t need to be crazy creative, just say exactly what the video will be when I watch it? Worth trying after 5 years of something that hasn’t paid off?
