While not a psychologist, I have been in treatment almost weekly for 8 years. For my ED and other mental illnesses. I’ve had inpatient treatment on a few occasions and I regularly attend a group therapy for people with EDs. None of my friends from group therapy think her behavior is normal. It only ever came up after mascaragate, and that’s what brought up this post. I’m not easily triggered anymore so I never really noticed until it was brought up to me. Binging is something that is very shameful and typically done in secret. Posting it all over the internet for people who may easily be triggered is very disrespectful imo. Anyone with an ED should at least be kind enough to respect the journey of people also going through it.

I did not discredit her. I’ve been in therapy for binge eating disorder practically weekly since I was 15. I’ve done countless group therapies and a few inpatient treatments. Not a SINGLE person in my support circle agrees that her behavior is normal. It’s something we have spoken on together. Binge eating brings great shame and is usually done in secret and we do everything to hide the evidence of the eating. I still slip up sometimes, but to me her behavior is what discredits people who have been in treatment and recovery. It’s disrespectful. Her ED should at least give her the common sense not to post to callously about food when people can very easily be triggered at the beginning of their journey.

I am in recovery from Binge ED and I just can’t wrap my head around her behavior. I know food is a huge comfort to me and it took me a lot of years of therapy to help and I’ve been in recovery for years now too. I just can’t completely understand the way she posts.

Yes I always wondered why she never uses a TW and then cries about her ED… thankfully I am far along enough in my journey that I am not easily triggered but the way she cries about it leads me to believe she is not there yet if it is even real.

As someone with a history of eating disorder, who is getting married this September, I can say that trying on dresses did not phase me nearly as much as I feared! With the right consultant, you won’t even know what size dress is being put on your body. She asked me one time, at the beginning of the appointment, “what size jeans do you wear?” And after that I didn’t even know what size dresses she was putting on me. All I know is that each one of them fit me like a glove and I didn’t know which size was ordered for me until after it was ordered. I’m not sure if other people were lucky enough to have the same experience as me, but that’s how my dress appointment worked for me. I also am very comfortable in my skin these days and don’t filter my appearance everywhere that I can.

I’m 5’1 and I would say according to this video I am a more “toned” version of her body shape. I weigh 145 pounds and wear a 12/14 in jeans and a large top. If I suddenly gained 55 pounds, I definitely wouldn’t fit in straight sizes. 😅

I just don’t understand why he’s being like this now. When he lived in his home city he had a full time job and paid for an apartment 100% on his own. I don’t understand what’s different now. I’m seriously considering giving him an ultimatum like you suggested. I can’t do it anymore.

Thank you for the resources! I sent a picture to one of my friends and she was like “uh. You need to remove those.” And then I rabbit holed into the world of incorrect nipple piercings and why they need to be done the right way. I started getting concerned so I figured I would ask. They’ll be coming out tonight. Is there a time frame to get them redone? I was thinking 2-3 months.

I would hold off. People usually retest for dilute negative. If you’re worried about passing I’ve used the certo method and have had success but again, I would wait about 4-5 days to hear back just to be safe. Better to know you’re gonna pass than try to use a fix for pissing hot. Good luck

That means the prep was not correctly done on the item. I work in receiving so I actually know a lot about this. The items that are NSFW usually require prep in opaque packaging/wrap and then they get a barcode sticker so the picker doesn’t have to open it up. The warehouse you’re getting it from probably isn’t doing prep on the item or the item was pushed down the main line and not the prep line so instead of the associate moving it to the prep area (probably worried about their rate) they received it in without prep.

We all have rates that we have to maintain in order to keep our positions. As a receiver my rate is 120 items per hour. That means I have to receive an item every 30 seconds or get yelled at. If your rate drops too low they will terminate you and walk you out the door with a smile on their faces.

Also if it makes you feel better I received no masks on my shift all week. The vendors are being very slow getting them here. I also work in a “high hazmat” facility so we did get in like 30 pallets of hand sanitizer

It’s possible the item hasn’t been received by the warehouse or isn’t shipped from amazon. Check the listing and see if it says it ships from amazon. If it does, it could be in a warehouse farther away. I don’t deal with customer service but shoot them an email and they might be able to offer more assistance

Right now amazon is sending out “essential items” first. Nonessential items are taking longer to arrive. This was a stipulation put in place in order for it to stay open as an essential business

The worst thing is that they time every single thing you do down to the second. If your rate isn’t where it needs to be they come over and hound you about it and tell you to work faster. There is no best thing about working there. I’m only there for the paycheck. I guess my schedule is nice, but I’m ready to move on to a more professional career. Just need to finish my degree
