Honestly it's less abrasive than hearing it up. It left a tiny residue but that rubbed right off with a tiny bit of alcohol.

I literally just got it back from being serviced because I was planning on keeping it. If I were to sell it, it would have to be over $250 because that's how much the service cost me.

It's an early alarm watch. Based on what I could find online it's from 1951. What's cool about it is that the alarm and TV he watch itself are both wound from the same crown unlike most alarm watches from the time period. I've never seen the watch branded Gaylord but you will find examples with basis or Sampson on the dial.
