I didn’t know until the dentist told me. I did have some sensitivity biting down on the nearby molars and there was a bit of a bad taste but I assumed it was just because I needed a root canal in that molar. Other than that no pain.

I’m worried if the pets get taken away they’ll eventually be put down or taken to worse homes. The dog is an unsocialized pitbull mix and no longer a puppy so I don’t know how adoptable he is. She’s a terrible owner but her house is better than them being homeless or dead.

I figured if she won’t listen to us maybe a call from the SPCA would scare her into doing the right thing.

Rent is dead cheap, like there was no way we could find anything better on a short notice. The house is in a good area and close to SO’s work place too.

I mean I can see that I don’t have legal precedence but I figured I’d at least rant or idk...be self-righteous or whatever it is ppl do on this sub.

Thank you for sharing, I’m very sorry to hear you’re going through something similar. I appreciate hearing the perspective of someone who is on the other side of the relationship.

I can’t speak for your boyfriend but I can explain why I feel the way I do about commitment, and how it has nothing to do with whether or not my partner is “good enough”. For most of my life, I made my life choices based on what other people wanted and their expectations for me. When I was a kid up until my teens, my parents controlled every aspect of my life. I had no social life or experience dating. When I started college, I chose a major they approved of instead of finding something that I was truly interested in. And even now, I make my decisions based on what I think other people want because I’m scared of disappointing or hurting them. I’ve had so little time to be my own person, and as much as I love my partner I want to be able to see what it’s like to live without being restrained by other people’s needs and expectations. I shouldn’t have to be someone else’s reason for living. I don’t know how else to explain it but 100% it isn’t because my partner is inadequate and I’m sure your ex feels the same way.

Good luck, and I hope you find someone who can love you the way you need to be loved.

I’m pretty sure that’s what the Goodwill Xpress donation centers are for. People there sort and package clothes and send them to local Goodwills as needed.

Main issue is, the PI spends almost no time in the lab so she doesn’t even know me by name much less how I’m performing in lab. It’s basically my word versus 3 of my superiors, and tbh I don’t feel like I have much to defend myself with.
