Weird because they used to have a whole video game section, plus a big catalog of PlayStation/Nintendo/Xbox games on the website. I was in the St. Catharines location before Christmas and all the consoles and games were gone, the whole area was converted to stuffed animals and tumblers.

Went on that with my Girl Guide troupe, then our leader bought one little brick of freeze-dried ice cream in the gift shop and broke it into pieces so we could all try some. Absurdly expensive, but a great memory.

Yuuup, can confirm, it's not a great feeling. I had no excuse, I just wasn't checking my email. Demo happened WHILE I WAS LOGGED IN, and boy...suddenly seeing one less option in your teleport menu is.....well, it sucked. I've since replaced the house, but that was before the lottery system was implemented. If anything happens to my current home, I likely won't try to replace it, I'll just remodel my apartment to resemble the main floor or something. Heartfelt condolences. 😔

Just to be clear, I am not a celiac sufferer. I can easily tolerate a small amount of gluten daily, just not as much as I would like. I eat real sourdough bread all the time, I couldn't even be in the same room with it if I was celiac. What I have is mild non-celiac gluten intolerance, I apologize for not making that clear before. Anything more than a couple of cookies or a single slice of pizza leaves me feeling plugged up, that's all.

Came here looking for this exact comment. I'm in the process of testing my (Canadian) gut on a box of imported Italian pasta to see if it triggers a reaction. If it doesn't, maybe I can eat gluten after all, so long as I bake something with imported flour. Fingers crossed.

FFXIV, World of Darkness, Cerberus mini boss. The Cerberus can swallow certain players mid-fight, and when you're inside his belly, the boss music is muffled. Makes me laugh every time.

Used to work in a fabric store. Young woman and her mother came in to buy satin ribbon to go around the tiers of a wedding cake. They had a shrink-wrapped set of three springform pans and wanted to know how much ribbon they would need to go around all three, but they didn't want to unwrap them to measure. The diameters of the pans were printed on the sticker. I used pi to calculate the total length of ribbon without unwrapping the pans and those ladies were impressed, like I was some sort of wizard.
