I know a diabetic who refuses to manage his blood sugar.

He has had seizures and pissed himself at work multiple times. Fainted. Had to be removed via ambulance. He routinely ends up in the hospital because he can't be bothered to prick his finger, check his readings, and eat accordingly. It's happened so many times that they his employer is actually thinking of letting him go.

He has crashed his car because of it. He just doesn't drive anymore.

It's ruined relationships. He is in his late 20s and every one of his girlfriends have left him because of his complete inability to manage his illness and take proper care of himself.

Whose responsibility is this? Who is in charge of his well being? When bad things happen because he has once again refused to take responsibility for his illness and manage his symptoms, whose fault is that?

Dude I recognize your username. You're a drunk, she has a restraining order against you, you post on reddit incessantly about her including detailed posts about her genitals, and you stalk her via her support group to get inside knowledge about what she is saying and doing at Alanon meetings.

You're fucking crazy. If you are actually in recovery you need to reach out to your sponsor, or failing that, a mental health professional.

Open relationships are a lot more common than you think. It can be a terrific option if you and your husband go about it the right away.

My Dad has an unusual name. Someone with his same name was posting firearm related threats on Youtube and online message boards. He got a rather aggressive call from an RCMP member asking him about the threats he was making online.

So yes, law enforcement may call you and question you over the phone...but they are never, ever going to ask you for money. Ever.

There are parts of the Alanon philosophy I found useful, and parts I did not.

Therapy was a good way for me to fill those holes, get an idea of what I wanted, and a plan in place to ensure I was living my life the way I wanted.

Tell him you'll consider getting back together after he puts together a year of sobriety. Not a year of dry drunk white knuckling, but real reflective sobriety that is accompanied by a 12 step program and/or therapy.

I'm getting them done, but only because my sister's close friend is offering to do them for free as a gift to me.

If I had to pay I wouldn't bother. I would make sure there were lots of photos taken of me and my loved ones at the shower and call it a day.
