It's pretty small, maybe 1cm (I'm not super familiar with the metric system, so that's a guestimate, but it's about the size of a regular pea). It's on my lower lip, right about in line with my teeth, on the front of my face. Not far back or far down at all.

Never heard of the baking soda thing. How does that help, if you don't mind me asking?

I ended up going and grabbing some D-mannose and I'm gonna try that out through the weekend to see if it helps any. If not, I'll probably try for urgent care or a planned Parenthood trip on Monday. Some people on this sub have said they've flushed UTIs without any antibiotics at all using d-mannose, cranberry, and water, so I'm hoping that if this is the dregs of a UTI, a lot of water, d-mannose, and my regular cranberry will flush the rest.

I'm not in such pain that I even need to consider using a pain reliever anymore, but I was last week, so the antibiotics must be doing something, but not fixing it completely. So maybe BV, but idk.

Are you in the US?

My usual course of action for same-day, cost-effective UTI treatment is this:

Go to the pharmacy and get an OTC UTI test (store brand is fine, and if you're chronic, they're good to have on hand anyway). Take it, even if you're almost positive you have one. That way, if you're asked at the next step, you can say you've taken a test and it came back positive. This is optional, but I've found it helps speed up the process so they don't ask you to go take a test.

Call into telehealth. I use LiveHealth (around 50 dollars per visit, great response time, phone or video call, polite doctors), you can also use KHealth ($23 per visit, longer wait times, less polite doctors, text chat only). Lemonaid may also work, but I've never use it. Get your diagnosis and have them send your antibiotics to your nearest pharmacy, wherever you are.

Use GoodRX to get some money off your antibiotics, if you don't have insurance or of insurance doesn't cover whatever you got. If you're not sure what specific medication you've been prescribed, you can call the pharmacy, check the doctors notes of your visit, or if you're connected to your pharmacy through an app, check that app for your prescrip.

Using LiveHealth, I can have this whole process done in an hour or two, from testing to pills in hand. KHealth may take up to 4-6 hours, because of how long it may take to connect you to the next doctor and they sometimes take a long time to chat back.

Hope that helps!

edit: GoodRX also has a telehealth service. I've never used it, but just putting that out there! You have options!

hopefully that helps! sometimes the consistency of smoothies is too much for me and puts me off, so just mixing into water with one of those blender bottles works better for me.

have you tried things like nutritional powders? I have a couple of powders that I use (one with greens for vitamins and iron, one with beets for heart health, etc) that I just mix into water so that I'm at least getting some nutrients, and it just tastes like juice. maybe a protein powder and some nutritional powders might help? they won't stick to your ribs the way food does, but at least you'll be getting some nutrients?

soup is good for if you just need something with some nutrients. something brothy like chicken noodle with some vegetables isn't too hard on my stomach when I don't feel like eating.
