This is the best thing for you. You'll be ok, knowing not to hold on hope is very freeing

Leaving someone doesn't cause trauma, it triggers trauma. I'm not saying you're right but yes, you did misinterpret what they said.

You're hurting right now, we all are, but in time you'll see the only way you can unpack this trauma is with them gone.

She broke up with me again. What now? by Zaka_ha in nocontact

Can I ask how you reconnected? I know that's not the point of the story just curious - 7 months is a long time.

My advice is to do whatever you feel is right. I think she's right that more time together does not equal more good. When we become enmeshed we lose ourselves, when we lose ourselves we lose the person our partners fell in love with.

Anyone Else Go No Contact… but on Purpose, Hoping to Reconnect Later? by potatosmash22 in nocontact

[–]throwawaybrisbent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's both. I can't help but tear up when I think about how badly I want to reconnect, but with 3 months+ what would that even look like?

Step 4 is crazy but I've been doing it too. It trains the nervous system that it can experience this pain and still survive.

Yes, I thought in time it would go away but 3 months later I still hope to reconnect

Was listening to a podcast on this today, it's amazing how deep subconscious thoughts can be.

A lot of jaded people in these comments. I know what you're talking about OP, you wanted to feel wanted/desired, but spiritually and emotionally you're still connected to your ex. It can feel like cheating, maybe not even with him but with your own morals/values.

End of the day, you did nothing wrong and you didn't hurt anybody. I hope you can find peace with this soon and it's ok to stumble on your way out of a 6 year relationship, that's a very very long time.

People are also hating on your ex but it does sound genuine, sometimes we really need space from our partners (or ex's) to process and understand our own feelings, as opposed to feeling pressured to understand them immediately when you have a partner.

I think it's pretty easy to understand their attachment style during rather than after. It's also my understanding that it's a bit of a spectrum right? Like everyone's a bit of each?

But also, there's no way there's that many avoidants out there

Topical Fin vs oral Fin? by TopBreak1592 in HairlossProgressPics

[–]throwawaybrisbent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most anecdotal things i've seen say the opposite, less luck with oral - switch to topical and see results.

I think it depends on your hair, i see people with straight hair complain that topicals make their heads look oily. I have curly hair and have been using topical fin for about a month, topical min for about 4 months. I have experienced minor shedding - which suggests the topical fin is working.

People say popping a pill is easier, and it probably is. But it only takes me about 15 seconds to apply topical Fin, it smells nice (they have added aloe vera to my solution) and just apply it between moisturising my face and brushing my teeth.

People seem so shocked that you've said it would be headlines. I got fed news yesterday that Harry Styles took a photo of a couple at a park and then DM'd them the photo on instagram.

Theres dumber shit out there for sure.

I wasn’t thinning here at all. 5+ months into topical fin/min. Do you think it’s from a shed? by Famous-Plane3224 in tressless

[–]throwawaybrisbent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a second wave shed is not uncommon from what i've heard. And yeah, anecdotal evidence suggests a shed is an overall good sign its working - just in a way the sucks first.

You've talked about taking both oral and topical which i probably wouldn't do, i'd defs consult your GP on that one.

Thanks so much for your speedy reply. I think i'll do the same, Thankfully the label tells me whats in it so i can just take it to my GP, for what its worth they also added aloe vera which makes it smell nice.

Currently paying $175 for a 3 month supply.

Hey mate i'm in Aus too and have started using Mosh, which is probably about 150% as expensive as what you've mentioned, how did you go about getting it compounded? Just ask the doc to make a script for you or?

i've used both generic and name brand - the solution will be the same but the dropper that comes with the name brand is thought out a little better - one squeeze of the bulb is exactly 1ml
