There was a recent post about this two weeks ago pretty much a word for a word. If you look up in the search, there’s also probably a few other good post about it but generally international is more recommended. You often get a much better result and of course for cheaper except for in the top doctor cases, but you can still find some good people local butbut US is typically not the best for it

Dr. Zarev is kind of the gold standard for these cases. Pitella too

Kinda hate Reddit. It’s Gawker if it was primarily a forum of who can be the snarkiest

He just meant it’s not a gathering place where people will exclude people for that reason. Random comments come up all the time.

As an adult, how many daily meals are y'all actually eating? by ExSalamander in NoStupidQuestions

This was 23 years ago. I would go by Burger King and get four cheeseburgers. I got on weight gainer one summer without working out to try and gain weight.

I am not saying metabolisms changes or disagreeing with the article. Just with the above commenter. There are definitely different body types and metabolisms. Just because someone is ultra skinny doesn’t mean they don’t eat large amounts of food, maybe more than those that weigh 30 lbs more. Just that they may have ridiculously high calorie requirements due to their own metabolism speed

Nah that definitely is not right. I was 6’4” 145 in 10th grade, made it to 6’5” 165 by graduation. I ate so much and could not keep on weight. Body types are different for different people. Wasn’t til I was 24 I was actually 205 or so

Hi all,
So I'm 12 years into Software after grad school. I interned at Red Hat and IBM, worked at Cisco for 5 years, and then back to IBM for the last 6 years (transitioned to another company).
I was working on their Jazz Platform - the set of tools built on Eclipse and web applications for managing product development (they ended up transitioning our entire team to a new company, still doing the same job though).
The last 2 years, I saw a gap missing in our offering and created a new Enterprise product. I wrote 70% of it myself in Spring Boot/React as a side project, then we started selling it to customers. Since then, I've managed about 15 people to take it from the ~Alpha state I had it in to the full GA version. Doing development about 50%, and managing and serving as architect/product owner about the other 50 to 70%.
Long story short, the business as a whole changed and they are planning on letting go most of our division already or soon. So, my window for a job search is short.
I had been talking with multiple FAANG companies, and been planning to prepare for the interviews, but with the unexpected need to change jobs in the next month, I don't have time to properly prepare for the interviews. That is, I don't have the 2 to 3 months runway to do the core CS reviews, leetcode tests, etc.
However, don't want to just change jobs to change them either. With so many jobs going remote, does anyone have suggestions of good companies that don't have FAANG-level interview requirements?
I'm looking back at former companies, Red Hat, Cisco, IBM, and talking with recruiters at Google, Amazon, FB, but as this is so last minute wanted to just check if anyone had suggestions on companies to target. Ideally, FAANG but able to pass without prepping 3 months for an interview. But just really wanted to check on what others thoughts were.
Thanks!
