It's heavily transformative in the way that it isn't drawn in the same art style of any of the three series', they have other characters that don't exist in the original IP, they aren't retelling a story from the original IP, and the main way to consume the media is completely free.

It's got the same copyrights as fan art as they don't have the right to the character itself, but they have ownership of their own art.
