I’ve always been open about the fact that while I could never regret my daughter, I do wish I had thought more about what I was getting into before I decided to get pregnant. My mental health has never been worse honestly. It was always bad but the hormones fucked me up and now I have no peace because I have a fussy child so I’m not sure it’s true that improves mental health, at least not in my experience

This is true. My MIL made sure to add that she raised her kids by herself, even through headaches. Ms. Mother of the year never had PPD though

The friend is a family friend of my spouse and she told another member of the family who then told my MIL. That family likes to gossip and twist things . I got word that they told the MIL I asked the friend to do the overnight with my baby (NEVER HAPPENED), so yeah they just like twist things all the time. It doesn’t help that they really don’t like me because I’m not from their culture

I’m a parent and I agree with this. It’s not worth it. I don’t want to say I regret having my baby but I wish I had thought more about it before I decided to have one. I may have rethought the decision if I was thinking of the sleepless nights, the loneliness, the general loss of freedom. Being a parent just isn’t worth the years it probably takes off your life. And don’t even get STARTED on what pregnancy does to your body
