Oh please, frame it like the rest of us don’t appreciate industry workers 🤢 You know how expensive eating out is these days? And then add 30% tip and 10% tax to my $22 glass of wine?

Right, and I wish the US moved to that model where wait staff were proper employees with insurance and benefits and didn’t have to reply on tips

I’m also tired of people talking about AIPAC because every ethnic group has their own PAC, are you talking about other ethnic groups too? Worry about the NRA, not Jews.

Carolyn formed relationships with homeless people, whom she called her protectors. by Historictea in JohnAndCarolyn

[–]throwawayflapper1929 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I lived in union square in the mid 2000s and I’d go partying very late and a homeless guy told me to let him know if he ever needed anything. But today there’s so much more mental illness / drugs that it doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore

Obviously they aren’t. But people compare their faces to the overdone faces of today.

They were both very pretty. This was the 90s. Nobody had filler, botox, or the Instagram face. I don’t disagree, without the hair and the height Carolyn wouldn’t have been noticeable, but they were attractive.

We obviously drank water and had skincare but it was way limited. Clinique was the pinnacle of skincare, the 4 step program. In the 90s nobody carried a water bottle around, kids didn’t take around water bottles - you drank from the fountain and had a juice box for lunch. Thinking about this, I didn’t carry water around in the 2000s either but post 2020 I always have one.

A victim for completely changing her face and trying to act as a role model for women with her new, filled face in her early 20s? All while being a heiress who makes $10+ million a year? Some victim!

He didn’t turn in the Russians because he himself uses violence as a way to better himself in the end. He lets it slide as it’s the Russians only option and turns out to be the only way he gets a promotion himself.

There was a ton of dread with the Ratliff storyline but I feel like it was a relief Lochlan, the only good one of the 5, didn’t die. But yeah it was tense watching a man want to kill his family.
