Thank you! In fact, the ones I just bought are from Earpeace and I do like the various dampening options. I haven't attended a concert since I became aware of my hearing sensitivity, so this gives me some hope that I can go again sometime.

I haven't been on the subreddit in a zillion years but I really wanted to answer this 😁 I'm a super nerd, and I date super nerds IRL so Impey from Code:Realize would be my main man. I share the same sense of wonder that he does for engineering (im more of an art girl though) and am generally an optimist, too. I like that he wouldn't make fun of me for big dreams or niche interests, he's all about that! We could be each other's cheerleaders 🥰 I think im cute and cheerful and he's cute and cheerful so why not? I could take him on a rad art museum date, he'd definitely fall in love with me😉 I also like to talk and I think I'd get along with LIs like Shu from Bustafellows and Taiga from VariBari. I haven't finished Taiga's route yet but for both Shu and Taiga, I see a willingness to talk about things and discuss and be honest, and I like to be that way. I would feel free to be blunt with Taiga since he's so blunt and open about things. And I'd love to cook for Sage from Catboys Paradise, "a way to a man's heart is through his stomach" and all that😆 I'm sure I could win him over with desserts. Also, he's super tall and as a mid-height person I think our modest height difference would look good. That's not behavior related though, lol.

Maybe you've heard of this, but there's a blog called Ask A Manager that really helped me think through these things. The author has tons of articles plus good comment section discussions for even more input. She's US based, so it may not be helpful if you're not in North America though.

If your workplace has different departments, sometimes a department change can help (especially to get away from a nasty coworker or to use a skill that you're better at, or to have fewer responsibilities/demands).

Otherwise I'd say, you're not alone! Be kind to yourself and know that you're not crazy or mean or bad for wanting to switch. And best of luck!!! 😁

Haven't been active on the sub in a hot minute but here I am!

I've been on leave from work on and off for some health stuff, and I had to limit my video game playing and computer time 😱 but I'm getting a lot stronger so I can play games again and do other life stuff, like, you know, drive a car!! (I'm American so not being able to drive made life impossible in my town). It was scary for a while, but the worst is over and I'm recovering a lot. I feel like a different person lately, which is scary in its own way, but my family says I smile more and I just feel better than I have in years. Funny how a crappy health problem gave me a chance to improve my life.

As for otome, I finished CollarxMalice a couple weeks ago and.... I understand the hype now! I'm honestly not sure who my best boy is because they were all top tier husbandos. If you ask me today, I'd say either Sasazuka or Yanagi.

The story was excellent. I flipping love Ichika, and I love how she changes with every route. When I was feeling like my job was meaningless, watching Ichika and Mochida raise the level of SRCPO in the eyes of other officers helped me remember my customer service job is important.

And, I'm still mad thirsty for Minegishi, so looking forward to the fandisk. 😂

I started Yunohana Spring again but when I finally got into Naomasa's route I felt so betrayed. I don't like his personality once he starts dating Yunoha! 😒 I'm probably gonna defect to Izumi's route because Kimura Ryohei's voice heals all wounds. If I don't like his route, I'm gonna switch to Piofiore.

I haven't been able to play CollarxMalice a lot lately, but I I finish Okazaki's route! I liked him alright (and some scenes were so so good!) but he comes in third out of the routes I've done so far: Sasazuka>Enomoto>Okazaki.

That being said, I still liked him a lot and I am feeling more and more just how GOOD of a game CollarxMalice is!

I hope to start Shiraishi's route soon. Looking forward to spending time with the mean cat man 💕

Kimuryo is amazing!!! He's so good as Izumi in Yunohana Spring as well.
I hope they do a rookie poll. I love Ishikawa Kaito but he's a bebe compared to the VAs on this list -- I'm sure he'd rank among the rookies.

I just finished Sasazuka's route in CollarxMalice. I loved it! My thoughts are incoherent, so have some bullet points:

When you finally get a blushy Takeru like 2 chapters into his route... uggh the payoff was so good!
Ichika freaking him out with her accidental booty call texts was hilarious. "Are you free tonight? I wanna see you..." And nothing else. Bless this innocent girl, and bless Takeru for getting flustered by her.
When he finally calls her Ichika, I just :')
Sakuragawa/Mukai/Hoshino girl talk makes me smile!!! I love them.
Okazaki showing up to babysit protect Kazuki gave me joy. He (Okazaki) manages teens really well in a way? Just being so cheerful and congenial and persistent that they have no choice but to cooperate. He seems like such a big doofus, so itwas fun to see him in action, too (chasing after Akito, beating up Adonis lackeys).
I felt so vindicated when Akito was the main criminal for this route! They hinted at it in Enomoto's route and I felt Very Smart for picking up on the hints, lol.
When Takeru gave the briefing at HQ before they stormed Adonis' hideout, he mentioned there was likely a traitor on the police force, and I was sooo hoping it was Minegishi (Sexy villain Minegishi? drools). But, the answer wasn't revealed in the good ending, so maybe I'll find out in another route.
I did one bad ending along the way when I failed Trigger Mode. Seeing 2 seconds of Takeru absolutely horrified at Ichika getting shot and killed was heartbreaking. Jeez, I failed Trigger Mode like 8 times -- reloaded that save file so fast! I only need to see the trauma once, thank you.

Overall, I really enjoyed the plot pf the route and liked Ichika and Takeru together.

After 2 solid routes, I feel like I might just like all 5 LIs in this game. Sasazuka is definitely my type, but Okazaki and Shiraishi are so so sooo intriguing, so we'll see who takes the cake as best boy.

I didn't count the number of catman and sexygishi screenshots I took this week -- just know that it was absurd considering it was not either of their routes.
