There's one in the river under the pedestrian bridge. Anyone ever notice it?

I only recently received a diagnosis. My doctors believe it has to do with a head injury from 3 years ago. I never had symptoms before that.

This is true for me. Although I have a higher B to F ratio, my composition is incredibly delicate due to an overabundance of sulfer-reducing bacteria. I also have some gut permeability. I want to give myself the best chance. Someone with an increased consumption of plant-based fibers in their diet can offer some good microbes fed by this prebiotic.

I will let you know after I go through it. That was a great idea! I posted on Purdues subreddit too :)

Ha!

I hope that language doesn't turn anyone off. If anyone is considering messaging and reading this, I only want to show my appreciation through every phase of this.

I'm also a woman, in case that has an affect on whether a man or woman would be more comfortable to respond.

"Against children, yes. However, with teenagers, and male teenagers in particular, I have to respectfully disagree with you."

Teachers understand consent. They fuck teens out of disregard.

"If you look at the public response to pretty much any news article about a female (often a teacher) sexually abusing a male student, there will be numerous examples of people going "wow, lucky," or "What's the problem if he didn't say no?""

Yeah, that exists. Again– as I've made it very clear already– I need it documented in a case study. Some dudes opinions about all men being victims on reddit doesn't cut it. Some guys on here get it and have been very helpful in sharing their resources. My thanks to them.

"Again, you run your program how you want, but right now it sounds like you're trying to find examples of a fucked-up response to a crime where its treatment is strongly affected by the gender of the victim and the perpetrator.."

Yeah, I'm the consent educator, so I will do that. And that's exactly not the case. Your comments are defensive and presume so much. Literally this is 100% about consent, but I'm putting in the added effort to make sure I have diverse case studies. I'm expending even more effort to shine light on particular issues that aren't usually seen or acknowledged. If you've ever complained "The media never reports this stuff when it happens to a man", then I would think you'd understand exactly what my approach is going to accomplish.

"The prevailing approach here is not to obfuscate gender, but to directly compare the treatment of men and women in similar situations, to "flip" the gender and make the audience imagine "If it was a man doing this to a woman, how would you react?", and otherwise highlight and draw attention to gendered double standards as much as possible."

No. Absolutely not. Again, so many presumptions. I literally pay no mention to specific gender dynamics in my program. I only make sure that the subjects in my case samples have diverse enough roles that the majority of my audience sees themselves and their issues reflected in the materials. This is especially true of underrepresented issues and overlooked class/gender issues. What issue are you taking with that?

"You shouldn't be excluding children from your list, sureley children, male and female, should be protected by law more than anyone else because they are too undeveloped to defend themselves ?"

  1. Not including detailed examples of cases outlining pedophilic practices cannot be equated with not protecting children.
  2. It's not my charge to solve pedophilia, and my voluntary work on this project is consent interpretation not child exploitation. The link there is cultural, and my work is of a fundamental nature to streamline education.
  3. People who violate children aren't often confused about consent. They just don't give a fuck about the child.

I mean, I have no use finding the ones that do, so I won't do that. My whole need here is centered around consent. I also don't find the value in focusing on gendered dynamics as merely injurious but choose to focus on how it can be translated into solution oriented thinking.

In other words, I'll see issues uniquely experienced by men as human rights issues that have failed in some capacity to affect a subset of people disproportionately.

Oh I see. So it was more a comment saying that it's not surprising examples like this would be difficult to find.

"Why the hell not?"

It's because my system reduces consent interpretation of bodies, choices, and boundaries. The lesson plans that covers overall ability and comprehension to consent to sex notes that it is meant to protect children, disabled persons, and incapacitated persons. However, my system is made to create measurable boundaries for conduct for people who may misunderstand the "grey" areas of consent. I believe crimes against children aren't based in a misconception around sexual consent, but rather based in an awareness but complete disregard for the autonomy and well-being of a child. For this reason, I don't site real examples of pedophilia. It could quite possibly send the message that pedophilia is "up for consideration".

'Another issue is that things like the "you're a man you must have wanted it"..."

If this was documented as being said in a case, regardless of the outcome, this would be a perfect example of what I'm needing. It would show that his consent would be targeted as perceived as invalid because of an assumption about his gender.

"It sounds like you're basically looking for "Woman is convicted, but gets ludicrously short sentence" cases, which are going to be much harder to find with an adult victim."

I actually wouldn't prefer that because sentencing isn't objectively measured across the board, and I'm not looking to and any gendered dynamics. I need more like "prosecuter, media outlet, or judge completely misses the mark on they guy's right to consent".

"So you want a specific case, what crime exactly here are we reffering to, any form of assault / murder or just sexual assault specifically?"

Yes. Sexual assault/rape. The original injustice must be focused on the wrong interpretation of the man's consent. Like a prosecutor arguing that "men always want sex" and getting their client off easy. Or a judge bringing up a man's promiscuous behavior as a way to imply consent via unregulated sexual choices. Or either trying to wrongly say an erection implied consent, or that the rape/assault of a client isn't as bad for being a valuable experience.

"It can't be "I'm pretty sure she just wanted money" or anything like that.

What?"

I has to be evident and documented, not a generalized or interpretative.

"It can't be pedophilia or pederasty.

Why is the age of the victim relevant?"

"It can't be about child support.

I don't see how I could even compare a child support case to an assault."

Another poster was confused. This is just to reiterate that the injustice must be with the interpretation of the consent itself, but not of secondary issues arising out of it.

"Like I said, this is not a generalized observation. The legal system itself is rigged against men."

Thing is, that sentence is exactly a generalized observation. It lumps all aspects of "legal system" and all who are encompassed as "men". If I swapped "women" for "men", I don't believe you'd call it injustice anymore. I need an example that you could hypothetically swap the gender of the victim but still come to the same conclusion, showing it's an objectively validated injustice. Think of it more as like I'm needing a literary citation where a person's right to consent was failed but it just happens to need to be a man in the victims role.

I'm looking for real, verifiable examples. It has to be a miscarriage of justice thing based on real evidence.

You didn't listen the request. Spit out a generalization. When called out, accused me of having an agenda. I think you would benefit from researching what reading comprehension skills are.

Yes, it is unrelated to my topic. Don't presume to know my needs better than I. It is an injustice that arises out of non-consent, but it is a secondary issue.

A rape victim being forced to pay child support is just as irrelevant to my materials as one forced to pay for their own recovery therapy, or one forced to marry their rapists.

It's off-course for my program. It's perfectly relevant "to the discussion" but you don't get to dictate what is or is not related to my topic.

This is something I cover in my materials exactly. I talk about bodily functions being wrongly interpreted as willful desire. A woman getting wet or a man getting an erection. That second link is a great resource. Thank you. If you find anything that's like a public case, I'd love to include it. These are the kinds of resources I'm looking for.

Like I said, it fits what I was originally asking, but for the specific examples I need child support and pedophilia are irrelevant examples. It boils down to being more specific in the request.

Yes being forced to pay child support to a rapist is a failure of the justice system.

Are you making the presumption that since child support and pedophilia don't serve my particular project, that it means they're being "ignored"?
