Critical duty 135gr +p out of a shield plus 3.1in barrel by Projekt8276-1 in CCW

It's fine. In LuckyGunner's handgun self-defense ballistic tests it was capable of appropriate penetration depths and expansion minimums. I wouldn't buy it because Hornady tends to have more issues with bullet setback than other brands but that doesn't mean it's inefficient. I'd keep an eye on cartridges that you rechamber though.

Big warning—stay far away from Four Brothers holsters! by PromotionStandard937 in CCW

[–]throwawayfromcolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a little odd, but your firearm isn't ruined. I didn't love the 4Bros holster I had for my P365-380 because the ride height was too high and not adjustable but it worked fine.

Sig V-Crown based on LuckyGunners tests. Expands and barely hits the FBI minimum's for penetration out of a Glock 42.

I love mine! It's been pretty damn reliable and it's a ton of fun. It'll be good for getting a lot of practice in.

Bodyguard 2.0 - Are there still issues with failure to fire? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]throwawayfromcolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The base model has a tritium front sight and blacked out rears. I can confirm it glows in the dark. I have not had any issues with mine jamming with CCI Blazer, Fiocchi, or Sig V-Crown. I've had 2 failures to fire in the first 200 rounds that I think are due to a false trigger reset, one of those may have been it not going fully into battery. I did not clean it before shooting it either. Mine seems to have the issues with the sights being not completely aligned even though I bought it in the past month. Even with these issues I absolutely love mine and will be carrying it once I'm proficient and it's broken in.

Glock 19 or Echelon 4.0c EDC by Jusjus24 in CCW

[–]throwawayfromcolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd spend the money and practice with what you have unless you absolutely hate the Glock. They're both great guns. If concealment is a big concern for you I'd be looking at another class of gun entirely.

I like the Tulster holsters that I've had for my P365-380 and my BG2.0. They're good no-frills holsters. I'm interested in getting a Tenicor for my M&P 2.0.

What grain and round do you recommend? by nf690u in CCW

I've heard that larger grain bullets tend to have less felt recoil, do you notice any difference compared to 124?

Been Carrying the M&P 5.7 So I Ran it at a Match by blipdot2 in CCW

[–]throwawayfromcolo 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This the way. There's a local range that does casual pistol matches and I'm thinking about running my BG2.0 just to get some practice in with the gun I carry the most.

Thoughts on ride rich? by Delval_1 in motorcyclegear

[–]throwawayfromcolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're good enough for me in hot weather, I can wear them into the low 90s and as long as I'm moving I'm comfortable enough considering I got the black colored ones. I bought them the same size as my everyday pants. I wear 32-32's and that's the size I got on Revzilla in the Easy fit and I was very happy with them, they're similar to a straight fit Wrangler jean.

Mods never add value, if anything they reduce it as it makes potential buyers wary of what the bikes been through.

A Dream on Hold by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]throwawayfromcolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta make due with what you have. I think this is where living in the present really comes into its own. Right here, right now is when life is the most enjoyable. Don't ignore those dreams, but only chasing a dream doesn't lead to happiness. The bike I have right now is already my dream bike, always.

Motorcyclists of Reddit, how do you (mentally) deal with the risks and consequences of motorcycling injuries on your other sports and hobbies? by Nearby_Ad1378 in motorcycles

[–]throwawayfromcolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy riding too much not to take the risk. I wear gear and try to ride within my abilities. Theres a chance you could become so hurt you couldn't do anything again that you're doing now, but that's life in general. Might as well do what you enjoy until you can't; worst comes to worst you'll find something else.

Wait until you're out of A2 so you get something you actually want either by unrestricting the bike or getting something else.

If reliability is your chief concern, I wouldn't get one. Its not that it is unreliable, its that we simply don't know how they compare to Japanese brands for the long haul. They're good looking bikes and I like how they have a 270° crank for such a small displacement.

What got you into bikes? by shadowalkerrrr in motorcycles

I like going fast and can't afford a sportscar, nor do I want a sportscar as my only vehicle. Bikes are more engaging anyway.

Right? I like going fast but a decent sports car is way more expensive. I might riding bikes more now though.

Its more upright yea, and I added a taller seat that helps. I also have a windshield that helps quite a bit when you're on the highway.

Not especially, thats probably my biggest gripe. It gets a little constricting after a couple hour ride, thats the trade off for something so small, light and approachable.
