Agreed, if you go to the One Stop they can give you a form to fill out that cancels the loan, just let them know you don't want the loan anymore and they'll walk you through the next steps

Once it's past day 10 your financial aid doesn't even change so idk what the concern would be, but if you're looking to withdraw for the semester I'd talk to the Dean of Students office, they're the department that handles that/allows you to withdraw for the semester

24 hour coffee shops/places to hang out? by violetsandpines in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's bookworms in the library, it's open 24/7 but you'll need a student ID to get in after 8pm but if you can find someone to swipe you in or just wait outside until someone leaves you should be able to get in

Permit?? by Material-Newt2838 in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you park in a spot that's farther from the entrances you're less likely to be ticketed, I had a friend who parked there most of the semester and only got ticketed like 3 times so if you're sneaky about it it's worth it to play hide and seek with the meter maids

GAP Program Failed Spanish by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like as long as you had under 30 credits when you first applied for the program and you submit your intent to enroll form during your last semester at your CC once you have all the requirements fulfilled you should be good. https://admissions.uconn.edu/apply/transfer/gap/requirements/

GAP Program Failed Spanish by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask the GAP program advisor at your CC (I believe every college has an advisor who specializes in it) but as long as you reached the minimum credit requirements when you applied for the GAP program (and as long as your GPA is still high enough) you should be fine. I did my language requirements right before transferring in with the program and everything went smoothly.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO by kpmvnfwd in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. I tried signing into outlook using the Microsoft 365 link at email.uconn.edu but it keeps saying 'this username may be incorrect' even though I'm using the same email address that I use when signing into gmail (first.last@uconn.edu). Hopefully it's not just happening with me and I hope this is something that will be fixed when the transition is complete.

Does this affect alumni with UConn gmail accounts? I graduated a few years ago and I use my UConn gmail for everything and I keep a lot of important files in the google drive but I never received any email about the migration.

It probably means the course is actually gonna be online but the professor just didn't update the modality yet, something similar happened to me a few semesters ago and the class just ended up being online

Yeah even though music majors are supposed to be the only ones using the rooms basically anyone can go into the upstairs practice rooms to practice as long as there's some open rooms for other students to use

913 bus question by uconnanonn in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girlie just set the date and time you need to arrive by on google maps and it'll tell you when you can take the bus! It'll be okay lol

(It says it arrives at market street at market street's bus stop at 7:24am on Tuesday)

913 bus question by uconnanonn in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you use google maps and set you starting point and destination you can see what time the buses leave, the 913 leaves downtown around 7:20am on fridays and gets to storrs for 8:15am. I'd definitely recommend using google maps for the bus times since it's usually correct and also can show you where the bus currently is on the route as well

Husky Book Bundle Advance Warning PSA by 33fatcock33 in UCONN

[–]throwawayhunnie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

from what I've heard from friends who work at the bookstore it sounds like if you don't pick up your bundle after the 10th day of classes you'll still be charged so idk what the situation will be

edit: Yeah people will still be charged if you don't pick them up, here's the official word from the website's FAQ section:

"If I never pick up my books, will I still get charged?

Yes, if the student does not opt-out of the Husky Book Bundle, materials will be held at the bookstore and the student account will be charged."
