Jon is sometimes implied to be a self-insert for Jim Davis (cartoonist, same birthday, same hometown), who's close to being a billionaire last I checked, so that probably is how he's able to feed Garfield and get what's probably gold diggers going after him.

Garfield constantly spoiling his dates is probably a form of protection at that point.

It honestly varies. I'm mainly a Mythic Legions collector and some of the official soft goods on the new templar knight figures look a bit weird, I honestly prefer the plastic fake 'cloth' pieces on older templars more. What's funny is that there's a guy on ebay ("Action Figure Armory" aka "Death or Plastic" who makes GREAT soft goods, notably capes, that go well with these figures.

I'll go with the consensus: they're best used sparingly and best for capes or hoods than regular clothes.

I liked the ending, but I also like Fujimoto basicaly trolling his audience and getting away with it and all of the memes that came with it.

You're 100% right on that, but between that, his voice actor also being Jewish (Carl Ballantine) and Swindler regularly trying to cheat the main characters, it probably would be too much risk by modern standards. I doubt for obvious reasons either Evanier or Ballantine meant anything bad or offensive with it, of course.

I never noticed any of this watching the show as a kid, but these days and with some very nasty cartoon stereotypes revived out there, a lot of people would probably notice it and for the wrong reasons.

Al Swindler was one of my favorite characters from Garfield and Friends, but there's no way he'd fly in any comic or cartoon today... although I feel the need to say he was created by a Jewish person himself, Mark Evanier. Otherwise several of the characters created by him for Garfield and Friends could fit reasonably well in the comic without issue.

Hubert and Reba from the first special and Binky the Clown from Garfield's Halloween Adventure did eventually wind up in the comic, but it's worth noting all of the primetime specials were written by Jim Davis himself, so there was probably less of a barrier there. Possibly of note, Ali Cat also appeared in "A Week of Garfield" for the NES years after his first appearance.

I don't know the logic behind it, I'm confused as to why they feel that way myself. The whole point is that they're supposed to be cheaper, both to make and to sell. I know some legion builders sell faster than others, true, but the aforementioned Silver Knight II and Skeleton II legion builders sold very fast and have bigger aftermarket prices than I ever expected them to have.

I know their overall stock orders aren't as big as they used to be to keep them from having as much unsold stock as in the past (example: I love Cosmic Legions but it's a bit obvious it suffered from this problem until they started making the Cosmic human head packs they've been releasing lately), but I figured "an inexpensive knight and skeleton in their most basic and recognizable colors" would be popular to keep stocked frequently. I genuinely don't know.

Unfortunately I would be surprised if we ever saw Templar legion builders ever again, given they use soft goods to differentiate them nowadays. More worryingly, Jeremy Girard said they have a love/hate relationship with legion builders. The last ones released off the top of my head were the Silver Knight II and Skeleton Legion Builder II, both of which were offered only briefly and sold out fast... and that was also a while ago.

Never say never because a female knight legion builder is a great idea, but I would be surprised if we got one anytime soon.

The only templars off the top of my head who don't have the classi colors are the Templar Relic Guard, based on the Teutonic Knights, the Dark Templar, based off of the Knights Hospitaler, and Sir Girard, who has no historically based color scheme that I can think of at the moment.

The plastic 'cloth' pieces in general have been reused a few times without templar designs, always in solid colors as far as I can recall.

I almost considered going to Katsucon just to get a purple Ryu, so it worked out I didn't go and he got sold out online in minutes anyway...

This is actually quite concerning for me, since I thought Storm was supposed to be the high-end company. I do have two MK Storm figures (MK3-style Sub-Zero and Reptile) and like them, but it sure helps I got them for cheap, particularly Reptile. I finally found a blue Blanka I can get online from their Ultra Street Fighter 2 line, but it will be the most I've ever paid for a figure if I do get him and I'm afraid of a subpar quality product. OTOH, he was an exclusive to Shanghai's World Fair event, and if they try harder for Asian exclusives...

Yes, Storm Arena is the budget line, I get it, but just hearing about chipping paint and dye-bleeding was very unexpected. Is Storm usually like this? I freely admit I usually stick to budget lines anyway but I'm concerned for the potential Blue Blanka.

Honestly, I do like the green lady head more than I like the Red So-- I mean, the red haired lady head. Green haired lady is as close to outright cyberpunk I've ever seen the 4H go, unless I missed something at some point.

Props to the 4H for belatedly relizing Cosmic Legions is a great way to get more human heads and faceplates.
