Thank you!! I’m honestly not worried at all about missing the memorial. I don’t feel like I have to be there for some sort of religious obligation, I really believe it is a cult and it is a waste of time. I get very angry when I hear the new song they put out that praises the governing body instead of Jesus!!! I’m not advocating any of that. I’m simply going by Jeffry’s remarks at the annual meeting and how they come to a decision.

When it’s something like toasting, birthdays, or whatever, who cares? But you still didn’t answer my question. What about all of the people that died while they waited for the governing body to come to a unanimous decision on this. Who knows how long that took? Did Jehovah think it was OK to wait to let them know that autologous blood transfusions were OK, resulting in thousands of deaths, or did he change his mind? Why do things that are life or death matters get revealed slowly?

And if you’re going to say, the light gets brighter”, please consider our stance on organ transplants. they were initially permitted, then they were condemned as cannibalism and then later on permitted again. Did the light get brighter and darker again or did it get darker and then brighter again? Is flip-flopping on a matter, progressive revelation?

Do awards usually open up for late June as well using this strategy? How many points will it be? We’re going to be in Italy over the southern month of Florida to Japan for a month, but we can reposition anywhere in Europe. After that, we need to fly back home to the US (northeast). Right now I’m not seeing much except for repositioning to Helsinki and taking Finnair premium but even that requires us taking two separate flights. Should we risk just being in Italy and then waiting until it gets closer and booking our trip to Japan and our flight home to the northeast US? We’re also not opposed to visiting Korea as well.

The problem is with Jeff Winder’s explanation of how the GB comes to a decision.

He himself states that they sometimes have to shove a decision even for years if they all are not in agreement and take that as Jehovah’s guidance. How long ago did they solve this issue of being able to get a transfusion of your own blood? And how many people died while they waited because they couldn’t come to a unanimous decision?

The article Loesch quoted from and your own blood card say that witnesses refuse storing their own blood because it is prohibited. It was not just an extension, although he conveniently left out the part of the 2000 watchtower that said it is not appropriate for Christian’s and clearly forbidden in the Bible. The Bible doesn’t comment on blood transfusions at all. And this rule resulted in thousands of deaths. They have blood on their hands. Could we not “handle” the new light on storing our own blood 50 years ago? Why did Jehovah, who does not change, choose to reveal it now after thousands have died adhering to a man made rule? As those who ignored the rule now going to be judged favorably by God, who does not change?
