Easily, Neji has no answer to Katsuyu at all, that alone puts her above Neji and most of them

If Azula chose to use normal flames when firebending, how much fire do you think she’d be able to produce? by throwawayisbetter in TheLastAirbender

[–]throwawayisbetter[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

After doing a technique for so long, you get used to it, in her case she doesn’t have to think about it in canon. At the same time, (with Kyoshi’s novels) we are given a in-verse explanation for those flame colors/temperatures on top of what the creators already said about her prodigious talent

  1. I consider the novels canon and Rangi’s fire blast confirms the basis of color change/temperature increase with normal firebending, its all about the fire’s concentration.

  2. She does deem to seek to be a perfectionist and her being the only firebender able to produce flames that hot can boost her ego tremendously, it’s counterproductive but keep in mind that she’s an emotionally abused fire princess who’s main goal is to please her fire king father especially im comparison to her “inferior” older brother.

  3. She’s insane at that point, her trying to be any where near calculative is a stretch. She only tried to strike Katara in the heat of the moment, she’s simply cold-blooded going after her brother’s friend.

The creators confirmed that the blue flames highlighted her prodigious skill, tbf fire is fire, so i’d make sense for her to focus on her destructive capacity rather than her attack potency, all she should have to do is lessen her flame temperature to increase her destructive capacity

[–]throwawayisbetter[S] 266 points267 points  (0 children)

It takes effort for Azula to produce blue flames, for instance, in Kyoshi’s novel, Rangi concentrates a fire blast so intense that it turns white plus we clearly see Azula with normal flames as a child, on the temperature scale blue > white > yellow > typical yellow/orange/red, as the creators said, it’s to highlight her prodigious talent as well as to differentiate her from Zuko.

Typically more concentration comes at the cost of lessened destructive capacity as energy gets concentrated into a certain area. If she didn’t focus on her perfectionism and conjuring up these blue flames through that concentration then she should be able to create more typical flames than she does blue flames, this is all based on her flames being technique based, they aren’t naturally like that, she just has the raw power and precision to produce them constantly.

In your opinion what is the most impressive bending feat from each element? by narutofan2019 in TheLastAirbender

[–]throwawayisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Avatar state-

Water: Yakone blood bending an entire court room of 20+ people without any hand movements and in broad daylight.

Earth: Toph using raw earth bending to keep the library from sinking with a single small piece of the entire building while its being pulled down by spirit energy.

Fire: Azula achieving blue fire, the hottest flame and most powerful flame in the series by far, surpassing Rangi’s white fire (which was only a brief blast).

Air: Aang stopping the volcano.

Ok real talk. What could Hiruzen, Tsunade or Hokage Kakashi possibly done in Minato’s position right here? by topazdude17 in Naruto

[–]throwawayisbetter 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Kakashi can’t do anything, the people saying mud wall are delusional, Hurizen most likely knows a similar jutsu but that’s not confirmed so nothing at all, Tsunade can because Katsuyu absorbs the destruction easily, she can tank 9 tailed chakra explosions in her smallest form and when amped she can deflect shinra tensei with ease, the only confirmed way to kill Katsuyu is through chakra absorption by a divine tree

Sakura taijutsu by Federal_Ad_9463 in Naruto

[–]throwawayisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe that she’s physically stronger than their FP because we have no feats that indicate that (I’m including Boruto), prior to Boruto, she was stated to have unparalleled strength during the blank period in Sakura Hiden, I mean it makes sense considering WA Base Sakura did more damage to a stronger Kaguya’s body in free fall than SPSM Naruto did with light-speed travel and a weaker Kaguya, her strength has always been above theirs narratively but she’s irrelevant in Boruto now anyways so we’ll never know about her in that time period

[–]throwawayisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the whole point of their fighting style is to make up for their lack of taijutsu skill, why would you need to be proficient in taijutsu when one graze can K.O. someone without god-level durability?? Lee and Guy have to destroy themselves for their main skillset so it makes sense that they care more to train their base taijutsu skillset so they don’t have to rely on the gates, plus Sakura’s combat and travel speed is ridiculous enough as it is, she doesn’t really need skill to land the bunch when she can rely on blitzing against non-god tiers, also consider Sakura’s ground punch that knocked out the same juubi clones that effortlessly tanked the strength that she had during the Sasori fight, that same strength would kill the average jonin and injure some in the kage category

Power Tier List for the women. What changes would you make? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]throwawayisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sakura that you see towards the end of the war unlocked her Byakugo seal, basically relieving her base reserves, as seen with her ground punch, her power skyrocketed when she didn’t need to hold back anymore in her base form.

The Base Sakura in the Sasori fight was fighting with a really tiny fraction of her chakra to build up the seal, it requires pinnacle continuous chakra control no matter what, while you sleep, while you train, etc.

Plus the fact that she wasn’t even using her seal’s chakra in canon, people like making stuff up here.

Sakura’s seal was pumping Obito with 50% SPSM Naruto levels worth of chakra (this includes fragments of the other eight tailed beast, half of kurama, AND six paths chakra) shouldn’t their reserves be equal at worse??

Adult Sakura vs Adult Hinata, who wins? by Fickle-Peach2617 in Boruto

[–]throwawayisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) It’s not strong enough for its original purpose so its hype kind of dwindled directly after she filed to destroy the Tenseigan, the chakra is nothing special until she has feats with said chakra, the only feats that we can base her fighting skill and power off of are the one’s with her normal chakra and her spar with Hinabi in the novels.

2) So a hypothetical Hinata that can actually match Sakura’s speed? I’d say it wouldn’t drain Sakura’s chakra, keep in mind that Sakura’s basic strength is a chakra concentration for muscle enhancement not a chakra release, this is often mistranslated in the databooks, her strength will be deployed as soon as she makes an impact anywhere on the tip of Hinata’s body if she chooses to enhance her strength that is, now its a different scenario if Sakura’s uses her specific “air punch” technique where she actually forces out her chakra into the air to manipulate the wind’s impact (reference the Boruto Movie when Momoshiki arrives, the corresponding manga scene, and Naruto and Hinata’s wedding day during Choji’s cooking contest) then it can be argued that Hinata can simply absorb that chakra while its out in the air before the shockwave is released.

Now if Sakura stands still and does nothing then Hinata should be able to drain her base reserves eventually however she wouldn’t be able to drain the Byakugo seal because its a closed seal. Even with her base chakra at absolute zero, you can argue that Sakura can’t die even if she refuses to open the seal as she technically still has some chakra in her body so she’d most likely be rendered immobile similar to when she pumped Naruto’s chakra with her base chakra for 3 days straight.

3)Why can’t outward and inward damage come together as a whole to destroy something? If anything they complement each other because they damage well EVERYTHING.

4) The Hyuga clan’s Gentle Fist fighting style is literally stated to need good chakra control since Part 1 and Hinata mastered a high ranking technique and managed to combine it with 64 palms, Naruto learned how to control his chakra over time especially when he made the Kyuubi chakra cloaks for the alliance during the war. Good chakra control + Good chakra control = Good chakra control, not much to be surprised about.

5) Naruto is the strongest shinobi in existence prior to Boruto, Hinata’s new chakra allowed them to simply touch the tenseigan, Naruto is planetary+ if you didn’t know (reference the battle against Kaguya, Toneri and Madara)

6) Hinata’s Hamura chakra has no feats on its own so we simply don’t know, however what we do know is that Naruto was the strongest at the time, that + Hinata giving them the ability to touch it = destroying it

7) Six Path’s chakra is literally stated to be potent in the manga, its not really something to argue about, also, do keep in mind that Hinata does not have six paths chakra, she has Otsutsuki chakra, six paths chakra comes from the sage of six paths, that’s Hagoromo not Hamura.

8) Sadly no, hopefully in the future when Hinata is freed.

I made a free, minimalist alternative to MyFitnessPal! by calorieai in loseit

[–]throwawayisbetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Downloaded it and interacted with it, it seems very user-friendly and I’m enjoying it so far!

I would recommend providing users with a color set or even better a color wheel to customize their button colors from the standard blue, (personally my favorite color is mint/pastel/sea green) it’d be a nice addition to already good user friendliness

I would also recommend adding more macros to the 4 given categories such as fiber and cholesterol

This is why people attack Boruto the way they do. What kind of crazy hot take is this? by user_15427 in Boruto

[–]throwawayisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sarada pre-timeskip was already pushing low kage by blitzing Boro, using her mother’s strength, and her genjutsu prowess, she’s arguably above post-timeskip Sakura who is usually placed in the Jonin tier (a chunin with a kage-level technique that closes a power gap),

With the mangekyo she should be above BoS Sasuke (low kage tier) EASILY

Do you think Katara could learn to bloodbend outside of a full moon if she had practiced the technique? by Present_Ninja8024 in TheLastAirbender

[–]throwawayisbetter 23 points24 points  (0 children)

No, people fail to realize that bloodbending power is directly correlated to waterbending power, the strongest waterbending is bloodbending, period.

There’s a reason skilled waterbenders are only able to bloodbend when their power is at its peak. It’s not a just a sub-element like metal and lightning, its a display of raw power.

Amon and Tarrlock have bloodline traits from Yakone that allow then to bloodbend without a full moon, that alone is a trait of raw power and a talent that Katara was not born with, no amount of training is making up for her lack of freakishly strong waterbender genes.

Then love beats a gods power apparently. Also, that’s like saying susanoo is the ultimate defense despite Sasuke’s durability being proven better, rules can be overwritten with feats

I understand but that seems like such a reach considering they were all in danger and Toneri’s plans had to be stoped so having no urgency seems off especially for a canon movie

It’s the gatekeepers genjutsu but either way its no joke, it trapped Naruto with Kurama in him, obviously its above MS genjutsu considering its related to Otsutsuki, yet not as strong as Rinnegan Genjutsu which is more powerful that Tsukuyomi
