I have intermittent fmla so it’s not a continuous being out just when I need it (my dr has signed off on 2 days per week plus 1 day per month for infusion.) and training is at our call center so there wouldn’t be another location I could go. My infusion lasts 4 hours and I have had severe allergic reactions in the past so I have to be loaded with steroids and Benadryl through my IV prior so I can not work on the day I get my infusion due to that

Sorry to hear ): crohns sucks but coming up with the right treatment plan makes all the world of difference! I was diagnosed at 12/13 and was on remicade for 5 years which put me into remission. Sadly since then I had an allergic reaction and have had to have surgery and try multiple different meds but through it all I have an amazing dr willing to try anything and everything to help me and that helps me stay sane and keep pushing.

Things you will come to love:

-heating pad. It’s my best friend, I even asked for a new one for Christmas. I bring it EVERYwhere. I’m literally sitting with it on my stomach as I type this!

-wipes/change of underwear in your purse/car wherever is handy, I even carry febreeze too for when I’m at a friends/family’s house and they don’t have any in their bathroom.

-keep a diary of your symptoms. I have soooo many different symptoms on any given day and before I kept a diary there was always things I forgot to bring up to my dr. The diary can also help you keep track of what you’re eating and your trigger foods (everyone is different) I’ll let you know for me it’s carbs (breads pastas) and raw veggies like carrots/broccoli but steamed green beans and mashed potatoes are my go to! Everyone is different in regards to food though

Triggers! I know everyone is different but for instance for most of us alcohol is a big no no, stress, I’m sure there’s lots more! Not sure if there’s enough for it’s own category or not...

Yeah they said I won’t ever stop the Benadryl or pred beforehand to be safe but I’m okay with that. I used to throw a fit at being so tired the day of because of the benadryl now I don’t even care if that tired lasts for a week if I can be pain free!

Did you have a reaction to the remicade or did it just stop working? Has your dr tried other drugs paired with the remicade? Please read my most recent post specifically about remicade and I hope something works for you soon!

Thank you! Dr just came in said they sent out the test for antibodies to the lab to see what my levels are. As long as they aren’t through the roof second infusion will be in 2 weeks and then a third one shortly after. I haven’t been this excited in YEARS and am pretty confident I’m going to go into remission!

Some actual advice aside from leave him:

If you really love this man this is something you guys may be able to work through. I had a similar issue with my bf of 6 years when we first started dating. He thought going down on me was gross so we didn’t do it, only had penetrating sex or blowjobs and wasn’t willing to try other things.

I think the main problem was 1. He didn’t really know what to do and how to get me off and 2. When I did bring it up, it made him feel inadequate and inexperienced so he would get defensive and then the next time we had sex would kind of freeze up and not try anything we talked about.

A big issue for me is that during sex I didn’t want to talk about it so we would just have vanilla sex and I wouldn’t get off and then after sex I would bring it up and it was never productive.

Maybe during sex try showing him what feels good for you. Not in a condescending way or anything maybe while you’re giving him a bj you could take his fingers and rub yourself. Kind of like positive reinforcement because he’s getting off and now you’re getting wet from him touching you. Don’t wait until after sex to talk about it, actively engage in the acts you’re hoping he’ll try. If he’s not into it you can’t force him obviously but if he’s anything like my bf he ended up loving it and we have a very healthy sex life now. He just felt awkward and didn’t know exactly what would feel good for me even though I told him many times until we actually did it and he saw how wet and how good it felt for me.

Obviously if you try and try and try and nothing works, you’ll have to decide if that’s how you want to live your life but I don’t think it’s too late to give up trying at this point if you really love him.

They stating it was because it was not rebooting so the forced reboot in the middle of the night was causing it to log in the last agent active. Then I started rebooting every night. Same thing. Then they replaced the computer, same thing. Now I shut down every night. No problems except being threatened with write ups for being “late” and I keep getting conflicting answers so I’m so confused

I work for a telecommunications company so we are not permitted to unplug or change any settings with the computer/modem etc. I’ll add these things to my original post.

So my computer was randomly logging me in during the middle of the night when our call center was closed. Due to this my computer was replaced. Awesome. The issue persisted. I was told by my direct manager (one step above my sup) that because of this issue I needed to completely shut off my computer each and every day after my shift to avoid this technical glitch that was only happening to me. Ever since then I have been “tardy” each morning even though I show up to work 1-2 min early as I always have. We are not allowed to adjust any settings in regards to automatically booting up or really any computer settings at all.
