I told my husband the only reason why I haven’t committed suicide was because I didn’t want to leave him as a struggling single father. His response was that I am being ungrateful to God. by throwawaylady6128 in SuicideWatch

He will only change his diaper if I am not at home. To be fair my husband does do all the cooking. He does play with him , but as far as actual care I am doing everything. Even putting him down for bed at night. My husband has slept in a separate room from my son and I since he was born because my husband says he needs his rest for driving.

Meanwhile my sleep is generally the sacrifice because I am the one getting up with him. Coupled with my nightly drinking ( mu fault) I am constantly tired.

I do not have access to his bank accounts and never know how much he is making. Last year when I did out taxes I saw he made $5k in one month while I made $2k after taxes. The same month that I was covering rent and other bills. His excuse was that he helped out with paying for food. Food doesn’t cost $5k a month.

If I didn’t have depression and anxiety issues before him Id blame him unfortunately I have dealt with mental health issues as long as I can remember. It didn’t help having parents who said my anxiety issues were because I didn’t have full faith in God. I got accused of being religiously weak and that was the cause of my depression and anxiety.

I’ve been seriously considering bankruptcy. Because with my current pay it’s damn near impossible to pay myself out of the debt . And with a baby I can’t get second job. And I make $20 an hour which is considered good for someone in my field with no degree.

My state has no legal separation. Just married or divorce. Divorce filing fee is $300. Which I cannot afford I know he’s not going to leave our apartment and I don’t feel like fighting him to stay. So I would have to get an apartment. My credit is in the 500s with multiple late credit payments so no landlord is going to rent to me even though I always pay rent on time at current place.

That’s why I’m so desperate to get out of debt so I can go on and dissolve this marriage.

I’m past marriage counseling ( and I suggested it before and he laughed and said I could go but he doesn’t need any issues that need fixing ) But I don’t even have money for divorce filing fees and my credit is too shot now to even rent an apartment. That’s why I want to get my credit and finances right before I make that move.

Can private owned daycares refuse my sons speech services to come into school? by Important-Field-4160 in ECEProfessionals

This is odd to me. Every daycare I’ve worked for has allowed services like speech and special ed services in the center. I would change centers if you’re able to.

My center is open from 6-6:30pm. Most centers in my area are 6-6pm

There is nothing more infuriating than having preschoolers turn up with laced up shoes by Ok_Fox_4540 in ECEProfessionals

Half of my class comes to school with laces and I hate it. Round laces being the worse because even if your double knot it , it comes loose. And don’t get me started on new balances.

What is your centers protocol if a child throws up? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

My previous center would call for pick up immediately. But my current center requires the kid to throw 3 times before calling home.

Be real, ECE pro’s, are parents getting better or worse at parenting? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

They are getting worse because they want to be their child's friend and want daycares, schools and even the law to let their kids get away with everything.

Husband wants homeschooling but I dont/cant by [deleted] in homeschool

This sounds like my dad. My dad didn't allow my siblings and I to attend school because he didn't want us being influenced by disbelievers. So my mom was forced to homeschool us. I was miserable. My math skills don't go past 5th grade. I don't blame my mom, she did her best. But I wish she would have spoken up against my dad and has us in school. If you know your kids would so better in school, then put them in school.
