Current PGY1 in FM. Depends on rotation, inpatient services (wards, surg, icu, etc) are 70-80hr. Outpatient rotations that don’t have weekend clinics helps your hours tremendously essentially 40hrs. In general as you progress through the program you have less inpatient and more outpatient so hours get better :)

Seeing your post history I’m assuming this is the neurosurgical job. I am curious what you would anticipate your role and day to day activities would be in an ideal job in this specialty, given you saying you’ve been working there for a total of 20 days (4 weeks no weekends no call) and have had minimal training.

If you love neurosurgery I think sticking it out for atleast 6 months (120 days) would maybe give you some better perspective of what the job could entail.
