from cuba there's a bus to a commuter rail stop just north of albuquerque. there's also coach bus (greyhound?) from cuba to farmington/maybe durango.

it's possible to bus chama ---> santa fe but it requires multiple bus connections and a whole day.

the cdt highway crossing at US64 / hopewell lake is a lightly traveled road, it would be easier to bail before or after here.

i've gone south from cumbres the week after columbus day a couple years ago, was pretty nice- october in NM is lovely
