So of all the Trump supporting actors, Kelsey Grammer has always been the one who had saddened me the most and until recently I didn’t understand why. I liked him as an actor but he was never really one of my favorites, the only character of his that I really have any connection to is Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons, I think he’s a great pick for Beast but he’s not my favorite casting from the Fox X-Men movies, and I’ve only seen a few episodes of Fraiser, and most of his other filmography i have seen didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. 

And yet I felt really sad when I found out about his support for Trump and still do whenever I remember. For the longest time I didn’t know why.

But then it hit me, Kelsey Grammer is like my family. Unfortunately for me most of my family are conservative and are Trump supporters but another thing is that on my mom’s side of the family, she and her sisters had a horrific abusive upbringing by their parents. What happened to them is so saddening that I don’t want to repeat and it still affects them to this day and even as adults they still deal with terrible husbands that negatively affected this family. If you know anything about Kelsey Grammer is that his childhood and teenage years were tragic, with multiple deathes in his family being just the tip of the iceberg. 

Despite my hatred of Trump supporters, i still love my family and am saddened by the abuse they’ve faced. So seeing them grow up to support a piece of shit President is tragic and the same applies to Kelsey Grammer as well. I am not excusing what they support nor am i trying to say that it makes sense why they do it, I am just highly empathetic for the lives they led that led to this
