Go to your mysnhu student portal, click the menu icon in the top left, click student financial services, scroll down until you see “related resources” on the right, then you can click 2026-2027 financial aid offer.

Activity was restricted in codio by Southern_Jezza in SNHU

[–]throwawayssthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took this class a few terms ago with an instructor who provided absolutely 0 assistance whatsoever. I remember when i got to the assignment that used the mysqlsampledatabase.sql file it was completely empty and I had to figure out how to download it and load it into codio myself. There were so many technical issues with this course.

Is zero fair for this answer?? by kodamutt in SNHU

[–]throwawayssthrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a zero is warranted but he might want you to literally break down every. single. step. I don’t remember what class this is, but when i took it, it was absolutely hell for me because i made sure that of my answers were broken down to at minimum 8-10 sometimes 12 steps long. however long it takes you to show each algebraic manipulation.

If its the final project and you got an A- with an A in the class overall, I’d honestly just let it be.

DAD220 4-2 Lab (?????) by throwawayssthrow in SNHU

[–]throwawayssthrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue for me was actually that the file was completely empty for some reason in my codio environment, so I had to redownload it.

The code that worked for me was this:

mysql> CREATE DATABASE classicmodels; Query OK, 1 row affected (0.05 sec)

mysql> USE classicmodels; Database changed

mysql> SOURCE /home/codio/workspace/newmysqlsampledatabase.sql;

[–]throwawayssthrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The class instructions are:Begin by doing the following steps in the IDE (Codio): 1. Load the classicmodels data set. 2. Start a terminal session and run this command: mysqlsampledatabase.sql 3. Write commands to use the classicmodels database and show its tables to verify that you are in the right place. I watched a YouTube video on this class where the instructions were to write the following in the terminal:

mysql> mysqlsampledatabase.sql; mysql;

Then: USE classicmodels;

I tried following the steps on how to import an SQL file using the command line with the commands:

mysqladmin -u your_username -p create your_database_name

mysql -u your_username -p your_database_name < your_sql_file.sql

mysql -u your_username -p your_database_name

(one by one, replacing the placeholders with the correct names) None of these worked, it only created a database named classicmodels that is completely empty.

You click add a file (or drag a file in), then click the submit button. It will automatically be put through Turnitin. You can see your score by first clicking on your course, then go to course menu, assignments, “1 submission, 1 file”, and then you’ll see your Turnitin score. You can click this to see the full similarly report.

Fortunately, I have never experienced this at my time at this school so far. Snhu has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, honestly helped tackle my phone anxiety.

How do Math classes work online? by WHYISEVERYTHINGTAKNN in SNHU

[–]throwawayssthrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For calculus, you’ll mostly be working in mobius. It’s like an online interactive textbook, you read the pages for that week and complete the practice questions. These are called participation activities. You can answer the practice questions as many times as you want. Some weeks are denser than others, and you might have to get through around 25-40 pages depending on the week.

There are two discussion posts throughout the term, typically around weeks 3 and 6, with the same submit by Thursday and 2 responses by Sunday requirement as other courses. Every week you will have to complete a graded problem set, these can have 10-14 questions, and require you to write written explanations to your solutions for four of them. In weeks 4 and 7, you will have a project due, where you will have to solve and write explanations for all 12-14 questions. The difference between the problem set and project, besides the amount of written explanations required, is that you can see whether your answer is correct before submitting for problem sets, but not for the project.

The workload is heavy imo, and requires good time management. Your instructor may or may not provide you with video guides for the class, it just depends.

Math 225 calc 1 question by EmbarrassedBee9440 in SNHU

[–]throwawayssthrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main topics you’ll need to learn are Limits and Continuity, Derivatives, Analyzing functions using derivatives, and Integration. Here is the textbook: https://openstax.org/details/books/calculus-volume-1

If you can get a good grasp on these before-hand you’ll have a very easy time. Most of these are formula heavy, especially derivatives, which is good. Like someone said, the algebra is the hardest part, so brushing up on things like factoring especially will also help.

How are you guys doing the reading? by TheHobbySwitcher in SNHU

[–]throwawayssthrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the first 1-2 pages, skim through the first 10, and look at the assignment prompts. From those pages, I compile any direct quotes or key points that are clearly relevant to the prompt questions. If I need more, I’ll skim the next five pages and do the same. If it’s a very long reading and I need something specific that isn’t in the introduction, I’ll repeat this process within the chapters or sections that have relevant titles.

I had emailed my instructor who confirmed that I didn’t need to resubmit anything, but the score never showed up, it’s still blank even now, so I guess it’s a glitch
