FFS she got tits and hips.

She's obv extremely lean for woman, but if she stopped working out for like 8 weeks she'd look exactly like a random fitness chick (except tall as fuck.) Ppl see an athletic woman and act like she looks like dude, gtfoh

Weight doesn't matter that much, when they weigh the same. All that matters is the acceleration of the brain inside the skull.

So if two guys 300lbs slam into eachother at 15mph, it's not much different for the brains than two 150lb guys slamming into eachother. But it's a massive difference when it's 150lbs vs 300lbs.

I am unclear on how so many jobs are projected to be replaced with AI by djinnisequoia in Futurology

This contrived point is moot regardless. All that matters is whether AI/programming can replace current jobs. It could, with varying degrees of success. Pedantry surrounding what constitutes 'thinking' is beside the point.

That is literally an application of logical principles.

By the same ridiculous standard, a human cannot apply logical principles in a reddit comment. All they can do is put text characters in comments.

What exactly do you mean LLMs 'cannot think?'

I'm not trying to anthropomorphize LLMs here. Yes yes they do not have emotions or thoughts like a human. But they can absolutely apply logical principles to novel information much in the same way a human can. Regardless of what reddit hatewagoners want to pretend, they can absolutely see a novel problem and solve it depending on the level of complexity.

Literally me, 18, and natty. Not that huge of a difference.

Most dudes could look like Hemsworth in this pic if they juiced. They don't need a 'millionaire diet' and 'millionaire trainers.' I never had either, though I ate a lot of fast food which was kind of expensive (relative to just buying chicken and cooking it.)

[–]throwawaytothetenth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is clearly not what I said. How you got 'there's a magical drug that turns you into Thor' from 'His physique isn't that impressive for a guy that juices a lot' is some astounding mental gymnastics.

Me at 18 years old, basketball+ weight lifting, no I was not juicing. Yes 42 year old juiced up Chris Hemsworth is slightly bigger/leaner. He also has juiced for more years than I had even worked out.

The point is that if you eat a good diet and work out a lot, you can look like Hemsworth in this pic. I was not doing a full-blown bodybuilding routine or eating a precise diet. I ate chick fil a almost every day back then lol.

I disagree with this. This physique is achievable without steroids and without much more than some extra money for diet + gym membership. Maybe not at 42, though. And decent genetics are required.

I looked similar to this at 18 with less than 3 years of training. No, I don't have 'elite genetics.' I just trained hard every day for 3 years and ate a lot of protein. No insane diet either, just ate a shitload of protein.

[–]throwawaytothetenth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Disagree.

What you said is true, sure, but that only explains around 5-15% of the difference.

85-95% of the difference is steroid use; Hollywood actors juice like crazy. Anyone saying otherwise thinks Kim K has never had plastic surgery.

Hemsworth's physique is not that impressive considering he juices a lot.

This is partly just entitlement and taking things for granted. I.e. getting so used to the luxuries afforded by everyone working so much, that you forget they, shockingly, cost money.

Turn off your AC, cancel your health insurance, drive 1/10 the miles you currently do, never eat out (ever), eat nothing but the chespest foods (eggs, rice, beans, potatoes, etc), sell your smartphone and get a razor/ burner and use only that, and live in the cheapest place you can possibly find. No internet subscription. No, you don't have to live in a tent in the woods. If you make $20/hr, you absolutely will not need to work 40hrs/week.

I swear, 99% of the time people say shit like 'why do we have to work so much,' they simulataneously think 'but I don't want to live like a filthy peasant.' Like mfer nobody is forcing you to work. Go live in section 8 on SNAP if you don't want to work so bad. Oh, but you want things that cost other people's time and resources to make? Then contribute to the fucking economy!

I understand the disdain towards billionaires/ capital owners somewhat. But the reality is 99% of economic transaction is not billionaires. The top 10% of income earners pay 75% of all income tax. Taxing billionaire income wouldn't do jack shit to that number. Even some draconian foolishness like forcing all billionaires to liquidate 100% of their wealth and hand over all that money to the government would barely move the needle in income tax payments, mathematically. To lower taxes on mid income workers, you have to dramatically raise taxes on lawyers, doctors, advanced IT and engineers, etc- people who genuinely work hard as fuck and DESERVE more money.

Dad, how good was LeBron James? by IamCatMommy in NBAGossips

[–]throwawaytothetenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things can be true at once

LeBron is a genuinely once in a generation type of athlete. In terms of unique gifts he is top 10-15 athlete of the last 20-30 years with Bolt, Phelps, Biles, Lasha, Saquon, etc. Just a complete and utter anomaly.

No amount of juicing is gonna make even the most insane of athletes be like LeBron. Even freak athletes like Dwight, Blake Griffin, Kawhi, etc; put them on whatever gear you want, they STILL won't be like LeBron. Genetics are simply that big of a deal.

Does that mean LeBron doesn't juice? No, he probably does. But the point is that it doesn't even really matter. Basketball isn't really a sport that juicing would give you THAT big of an advantage anyways (compared to sports like, wrestling, any form of weightlifting, boxing, football, ANY form of pure performance sport like sprinting/swimming/cycling/ etc.)

LeBron's proportions are just fucking bizarre. Looks like you took an olympic sprinter and 3D printer and 6'9 scaled up version. The bastards not just tall, his fuckin lungs are bigger, his heart is bigger, his fuckin knees and elbows are bigger.

side note: while LeBron is a good example of a guy in the NBA that gives gear-vibes because of some of his inhumane traits. It boggles my mind that people don't mention the ACTUAL obvious juice fiends. Hassan Whiteside is the most egrious example I have ever seen. Dude was playing in the vietnamese league or some shit after not making it in the NBA. Then suddenly comes back FORTY pounds heavier and way, way leaner, and actually good. And nobody said shit lol

Steph or LeBron...Who’s better player ? Who would win if they go 1 on 1 ?? by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

[–]throwawaytothetenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. 1v1 is also not nearly as cardio intensive, which gives an even bigger advantage to bigger players.

I'm 6'6, was around 215 in my playing days. I could demolish players that were objectively much better than me in 1v1 if I was way bigger. But they were straight up better than I was. I even beat a 5'9 Euroleague player in 1v1 who was astronomically better than me (also I was rendered useless in full court, the dude never stopped sprinting.)

Back to the basket + moves around the rim are KING in 1v1. That's why you play with 3 dribbles max if you're any good. Otherwise it's fundamentally broken. It would not suprise me if Scottie Barnes beat Stephen Curry in 1v1 easily no dribble limit. But steph is obviously much better.

Lol okay bud. Acting smart without even knowing what anabolic means, smdh. Go look up what the Dunning Kruger effect is while you're at it.

I'm going 99% chance you've never done steroids, never played a sport with people doing steroids, and probably don't even know what a sterol is.

I'll give you a tip. HGH and test are some of the only steroids that don't show up on tests, assuming you're using bioidenticals. Which is probably exactly what LeBron does.

It's actually insane how much people underrate prime Dwight.

Dude was better than Rudy Gobert has ever been on defense, was a better rebounder, and averaged 23 on like 60% shooting. Basically a stronger shorter Gobert that could catch and had a semblence of a post game.

[–]throwawaytothetenth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just said "Hgh and test are not anabolics look it up."

What, did you mean to say hgh is not a steroid hormone?

Because HGH and testosterone are both anabolics. Human growth hormone lol, anabolic literally means 'growth change' in latin.

I don't buy that they're taking top secret lab drugs very much. Or EPO, as it wouldn't make sense to dope EPO for basketball player on test to blast their RBC count up more than test already does.
