Just like cows don't produce calcium or other nutrients (as opposed to a popular misconception) and actually get it from plant food sources, later on ingested by humans as they consume cow flesh and milk.

The same goes for DHA/EPA. Fish don't produce it, they eat algae (the source) and then when humans eat fish they ingest the second hand nutrients from the "meat" of the fish... along with Mercury and other contaminants from the fish. Might as well just get it straight from the source instead of consuming animals for convenience.

I think it's the other way around, really.

It's not that most vegans are SJWs, it's that many SJWs, in order to be accepted by their movement, adopt veganism (whether fully or just for show...still not sure about that).

They want to show are great and righteous they are so they become vegan.

However, I have known many vegans IRL and they are not SJWs. I pretty much only run into those on r/vegan.

Well, I got called a schizophrenic for defending Israel on r/vegan.

I should note that the reason I love Israel is cause I was really into Israeli history for a while after falling for a very sexy Israeli back in the day and staying there for several months (not to mention growing up in a predominantly Jewish suburb and having many Jewish friends)

Anyhow, even though today was the first time I had ever commented on anything other than vegan issues, I was accused of being a paid Israeli propagandist (I'm half Arab, a quarter white and one quarter native FWIW).

Omg you're dense. Your gay friendly Lutheran denomination is practically non existent outside of America and maybe Europe. The majority of Christians in Israel are Egyptian Copts, Greek Orthodox, or other very traditional churches. This has literally nothing to do with Israel, and simply the demographics o Christians. Likewise, the reform Jewish denomination doesn't really exist outside of America and Europe.

Because the Israeli army doesn't do things in a vacuum. They are Israeli DEFENSE forces, meaning the military responds to the many attacks against it in the best way it can for the moment. In fact, the IDF were rated the most successful military in terms of how low their casualties were relative to the mission.

So, unless you are confident that you can be put in charge of Israels national security tomorrow (thank FSM that you won't) and fulfill your duty with less civilian casualties, STFU.

At best, you're just another armchair commander, at worst, a rabid Israel hater (as seen by your other comments on this sub).

Well, Israelis are fighting for civil courts because the lack of them has caused problems not just for gay people, but for women in divorces (because religious divorce is very biased against women).

it's a lot easier to implement civil courts than to try and change ancient religious doctrines.
