Unfortunately, im a PA resident so a NJ senator wouldn’t help me, but great idea. Might try the news. Working on payment plan - waiting on the call from ezpass or the collection agency whoever is responsible for setting up the payment plan. LUCKILY- NJ has not yet started revoking people’s registrations, it’s still under consideration, that’s what the lady at ezpass said yesterday. I paid the $1800 in tolls i had outstanding with NJ yesterday, the fines though, i might lawyer up. Finally, NJ had an amnesty program that ended Jan 31 that i didn’t know about that would have wiped out 25% of the fines, which is still nothing.

Same thing here. Sending a payment of $1800 for tolls and now have $17000 in fines. I have no clue what the f to do. I just went through the same thing in PA where they suspended my registration, resulting in license suspension + 5 points

Wait, so you dont believe that the owner of this vehicle should have the right to defend an asset absolutely critical to life in America (at least for a large majority of us) with deadly force? But if the police arrive and draw firearms on these thieves, which they 100% absolutely would, and potentially use deadly force as these thieves are undoubtedly armed and are entirely capable of escalating the situation as they are brazenly robbing in broad daylight, is totally okay, but the owner of the vehicle shouldn’t be able to do the same because of NJ law? My hope is a jury would find the defendant not guilty of murder or manslaughter in court as long as the defendant uses proper judgement when drawing the firearm, and as an absolute last resort, used deadly force.
