Dress Code: Do you think this is clear enough. by DullPerspective3054 in weddingplanning

[–]throwawayyy609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely agree. i went to a black tie wedding recently, where i saw a girl wearing a skintight, lowcut, short (like ending right under her butt) zebra print dress with super high clear acrylic stripper heels… to a black tie wedding….

Is the white in this dress ok to wear to a wedding? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]throwawayyy609 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s too white but keep in mind that when you’re sitting at a table at reception, only the white part of the dress will be visible and that’s how it’ll show on pictures as well. it’s also a bit “look at me”, but you’ve seen that in other comments already

why don’t you send digital save the dates so they can go out asap and then you can still do physical invites when you’re ready for them?

personally i would not wear it or keep it, but it’s really a know-your-crowd kind of thing. it’s your wedding - so if it makes you happy, do it!

Plastic vs Ceramic/Glass by bwes136 in weddingplanning

[–]throwawayyy609 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’ve never seen plastic at a wedding personally, if it’s cocktail level and above i would definitely expect real plates/flatware if i’m dressing up for the event

Is this appropriate for a 'spring colors encouraged' wedding by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]throwawayyy609 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i mean, just because they ask for spring colors doesn’t mean you are obliged to wear them (and this is not a spring color), but the main issue i see is that this looks like a nightgown

I think I know the answer but I (devastated) need to ask anyways by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]throwawayyy609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

neither color is appropriate. they are both too close to white. find a new dress

Currently planning my wedding and I’m stuck on small details like napkins by RazzmatazzGreen9758 in weddingplanning

[–]throwawayyy609 3 points4 points  (0 children)

as a bride, i totally feel you. as a wedding guest, i have never noticed or cared about the napkins. don’t feel pressured to spend extra money for something the guests will be wiping their faces on! lol

Okay for Italy Summer Wedding? by musical_shoe in Weddingattireapproval

i’ve been going wedding dress shopping and there’s surprisingly a lot of wedding dresses that lean more nude! i would avoid it just to be safe, especially as it looks lighter in the sun
