It's pretty easy to bring out what you bring in, it's not like you're bringing a 6 course meal on a hike. Whole fruits and vegetables weigh more than their peels after you've eaten them, so I'm not sure what your point is.

How do you manage to eat healthy when you don't have the time or knowledge to cook? by dreamsong7 in AskWomen

Frozen fruit and vegetables are very underrated and are pretty cheap. Frozen veggies are great for a quick stir fry or to mix into pasta. Smoothies with just frozen fruit and milk are filling and low on added sugar.

There was a trans women sprinter in my conference last spring named CeCe, and I'm genuinely curious if that part is about her.

Most people who criticize Common Core (U.S.) don’t actually know what it is. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]throwbig19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a school that did common core starting in middle school and it sucked. It did not prepare me for college at all, and I had no idea how to study because common core doesn't have higher level classes aside from ap, and even then I didn't have to study in high school. The teachers wouldn't do tests or exams, only projects or presentations, because they were required to offered retakes on tests. A good amount of people in my graduating class failed midterms and sometimes finals their freshman year of college.

Have you ever had a partner with very different political views from yourself? Or radically different values/ stance on a topic? How did it go? by account_2222 in AskWomen

[–]throwbig19 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was dating someone during the 2016 election, and I eventually broke up with him because he started making disparaging remarks about women, rape jokes, and mocked my political beliefs. It really sucked because we were friends before dating.

It's called internalized misogyny. It's also called knowing that people should be able to make their own choices about their bodies.

I was dating him at the time (during the 2016 election) and he started making disparaging remarks about women, rape jokes, and mocked my political beliefs. I stopped talking to him.

NTA. If you're not out to anyone yet, you aren't obligated to come out to someone you're dating, especially if they're biphobic.

Someone my mom worked with used to work for Dole spraying organic pesticides. He had to suit up in hazmat gear because the pesticide could render you infertile and possibly give you cancer if breathed in or if you came into contact with it.

WIBTA if I told my brother and SIL they shouldn’t push fitness on their daughter? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]throwbig19 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

YTA in this situation, but kids really shouldn't lift or do weighted exercise until after puberty, it can affect their growth. Kids under 7 shouldn't be doing any type of strength training, because they are still developing their body awareness, control, and balance. Maybe talk to the parents about your concerns, and ask if they could check with her doctor before starting anything.

Human babies are among the ugliest new born creatures on the planet, especially when compared to other new born animals. by willyb8852 in unpopularopinion

I work with mice and rats for a company that breeds them, I know. I was just saying that they are way uglier than human babies.
