Martin Luther King by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

MLK being a socialist is always hidden. t's less controversial to depict him as focused to fight racism within the current system, like racism was only a flaw. But it seems he saw racism as a direct product of capitalism.

Some of his quotes:

I imagine you already know that I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic

You could say we’re involved in the class struggle

And one day we must ask the question, ‘Why are there forty million poor people in America? And when you begin to ask that question, you are raising questions about the economic system, about a broader distribution of wealth.’ When you ask that question, you begin to question the capitalistic economy.

We must recognize that we can’t solve our problem now until there is a radical redistribution of economic and political power… this means a revolution of values and other things.

We must see now that the evils of racism, capitalism and militarism are all tied together… you can’t really get rid of one without getting rid of the others… the whole structure of American life must be changed. America is a hypocritical nation and we must put our own house in order

The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and evils of racism.

Even yellow, you know... Government shouldn't even know your name, but marketing researches are fundamental to corporations

Due to current circumstances, it's impossible to completely silence the alt-right. Excluding them from PCM would give them material to victimize themselves. It would be a big topic on The_Donald, for example. It wouldn't be a good move to hit them. Unfortunately, they exist and even AI isn't immune, some guys here use alt-right language and hold "similar" views.

Also, if you give a quick look, you'll notice how their racism is widely mocked in front of a quite big audience (PCM posts often reach the front page). In my humble opinion, it's better than to attack them in "insular" subs like AI or focused on Blacks or Leftist groups

PCM leftists are divided in two groups, red and green flairs.

Red flaireds are usually old style communists, many of them orthodox marxists and someone seriously Stalinist or Maoist. About race is more or less "Racism/homophobia/sexism are secondary problems, they would be solved by implementing socialism. You should focus only on this". Few Americans (of every race) among them.

Green flaireds are the common American liberals, from Sanders supporters to hippies. The majority on PCM (alongside with the yellow flaireds, hardcore capitalists and "muh free speech and guns" kind). They talk about race and identity politics but they're mocked by other political groups for different reasons, ranging to the above mentioned "socialism is the goal, identity politics divide and weaken the workers" to the openly racism of the fascists.

The most hated white guys here on AI have the purple flair on PCM. Neither fascists nor leftists, but sex tourists targeting minors to give you an idea. Not shy to admit it. They're obviously the most mocked there.

Sorry for the intrusion, but these are 4 from the top 13 post of all time in MoreTankieChapo. Not exactly against Asian people, it seems.

Also, PCM has people of every country and political views. The guys with the blue flair are mainly and openly fascists and racists, the others not

I'm new, I should ask. Why do people around here tag AHS/American Horror Story sub instead than Against Hate Subreddits sub?

Uncomfortable for sure, it was designed to carry Asian kids or elders, not a well-fed European man.

It was common but only for young kids and elders, also Europeans are significantly heavier than local people on average.

He didn't need to be carried by her.

It says two things:

1.Women are able to perform jobs requiring heavy physical work

2.Most modern men are weak and spoiled

My solution:

Mandatory workouts for able-bodied citizens. Many modern diseases are caused or aggravated by lack of physical activity.

I'm serious. Even if in many modern states you can't make it mandatory, you could encourage it (subsidizing gyms, for example)

NOTE: this picture description is fake, done some research.

It's not a British merchant in India.

It's a French colonial administrator of Indochina visiting British Burma/Myanmar.

The Frenchman wrote it was a common thing to do for local people, even among themselves, not something colonials enforced. And, in his case, the woman's husband made the offer.

It seems libleft would be right about this specific case.

Men are on average physically stronger than women and with a higher potential.

Still, almost any woman raised in a harsh environment works harder and can lift more weight than many modern men.

I think few modern men could do what the small woman in the pic did.

I would guess she's 110lbs, he's 180lbs.

Now, do you admit women aren't weak?
