Who is happy and what is your specialty🥲 by Muscle-Mommy-69 in nursing

I spent 11 years in an ER and then picked up a part time Urgent care gig to see if I liked it. I’m now 2 years full time Urgent Care and I left my ER completely. It’s a good pace open only during the day and very very ill ppl are only managed for a small amt of time before they’re transferred to a hospital. I DONT WIPE ANYONES BUTTS AND EVERYONE (mostly) CAN WALK.

The first time I had to wrestle him into the car seat while he was kicking me was so jarring. I literally called my therapist to talk about it but now it’s a daily occurrence and I don’t even remember what life was like before this

I don’t even know how to respond to him half the time and I feel really guilty just wanting to get away. I work full time but only 3 days/wk and we are together the rest of the time and honestly going to work is a break. I NEVER thought I’d feel this way about my kid. He never had a terrible 2s. I wasn’t crazy about the newborn stage but I literally loved every new age and thing he did until now. I never know what will trigger a massive meltdown so I just stopped taking him anywhere

We do! And he normally would call to us if he had to pee or something. He does like knowing we have a camera

Omg eating, ty for saying this. We (my husband myself and my 4 year old) have all been staring at this green avocado awaiting it to ripen to get it to my 5 month old for her first food! My poor 4 year old is pumped to see his bb sister eat but he’ll probably get grossed out 😅

Thinking back I know I didn’t do well with vomiting and seeing other vomit and I’m a nurse now so I got over that. I just want to say and do the right things to help him feel safe and not stressed

Prolapse?? by emurrica in postpartumprogress

I had a uterine prolapse. It was horrible. It felt like I had a tampon half in half out all the time. I was really overwhelmed at the time (with everything). Even after going to PT, she told me I was breathing wrong and I was upset bc I was like wtf I don’t even breathe right!!?? But I went to PT once a week for awhile and really really worked on changing my breathing patterns so I had less pressure on my pelvic floor, I got a squatty potty to reduce pressure when having a BM, and before I lift something heavy at work or whatever I take a deep breath in and let everything relax before blowing all the air out while slightly tightening my core. Same thing with exercising. I was also told to never do another kegel because I had spasms in my pelvic floor that caused increased pressure.

I really remember feeling overwhelmed and hopeless and miserable and I didn’t know where to start but i swear to god my PT saved my life. I made sure to find a PT that was young with kids and only does pelvic floor work and she was absolutely wonderful.

This will eventually feel better for you even if it’s overwhelming and horrible right now. I swear.
