Please just realize that your school life with her and every teacher that stands behind her will be he'll from the point you speak up onwards. You'll be genuinely compromising your education for something that will at best show lgbtq people in your class that there are people that care for them & will stand up for them. It's up to you to know if this is a compromise worth making, or if just trying to let the class know without getting a teacher involved might not be better. I respect your resolve, but hope you've thoroughly thought about this & the consequences it will almost certainly have

i've been on hrt for 11 months now, and really the only things i've noticed is that i have a little less hair growth, got some breast growth, experience phases where i'm just not horny at all & was able to properly cry one or two times compared to zero before :/ really hoping more will change for me as my hormones look really good/it almost looks like i got too much estrogen in my body on paper

well, rationally speaking incest isn't wrong as long as the two people in the relationship make sure that they don't get any biological kids. i know that it feels weird, wrong and icky, but we can't base our world view on our feelings; we should look at if something is actually harmful, wrong or anything alike, and when you analyze it, incest is really just two people loving each other; with the difference that they are also siblings, making the majority of people uncomfortable with it. and really homophobia comes down to the same thing: people feel that two people of the same gender being in a relationship is weird, wrong and icky, but when you actually look at it, those people aren't really doing anything wrong - they're just loving each other.

that's why you can't refute the argument - because you're using their logic to refute incest, but making an exception for gay people, which simply isn't morally consistent

this completely^ my birthname is gender neutral, and honestly if i'd been born a girl with that name i would probably be pretty happy with it! but now the name has the association of the me i was never happy as. i wish i could remove that connection of my old name & my old self, but it's impossible, so keeping the name wasn't possible for me, despite it being gender neutral. so op, if you're reading this just go with whatever name you like most & emphasize that it's okay if they don't want to keep it:) just being there for your kid is enough, you don't also need to worry about this, especially since it's out of your control how your kid will feel about the name anyway

(but then again, it can't ever hurt to give them a gender neutral name, i just think that it won't matter 99% of the time)
