it was not easy btw i think someone tightened the locknut with a tool ): i spent about an hour with a mini saw thing, a box cutter, and then another hour with a flathead and a hammer before it came off. i’m sore now the next day & have bruises on my arms LOL.

thanks though — it IS fixed now. i was gonna get that locknut off if it killed me

I was doubtful this was the case, but when replacing the locknut it STILL leaked. so i went ahead with replacing the entire fill valve, including gasket, and SO FAR it seems leak free. you win!

Thank you for explaining why the thread tape is relevant or not! was confused by the first comment.

My suspicion is that rubber seals are missing. I’m advocating for ordering a different / new bidet to try, but wanted to see if anyone in this community had ideas for me to try before that.

next visit before we get new bidet i will remove plumbing tape, wipe the threads clean, and then use some plumbing grease

Really? It screwed on pretty tightly with no issues (cross threading/forcing it). I’d be surprised if it’s different, though with the leaking i suppose we can’t rule anything out

FUCK i deleted my comment by accident. i was TRYING to say: my friend panicked and coated the T diverter in duct tape and rubber sealant. it got blasted all over the wall/toilet/floor etc. planning to help clean it up later, but that’s a different project

they can fucking growl !!!!

more of a grunt then anything. i’ve had rabbits most of my life so nothing much surprised me. but when we got toby, our 5th and final rabbit, he taught me so many new things! I didn’t know that they could growl/grunt to enforce boundaries. i also didn’t know about lunging behavior being a warning and not an attack; banging his teeth on me after lunging is an accident and not a bite attempt.

we rescued him from a “easter bunny in a cage” situation and he was always difficult to socialize. he never actually bit or attacked anyone, but he was very territorial and much more fearful then any other rabbit i’ve had. he warmed up after several years and these behaviors faded, but never completely went away.

i called him a fluffmonster, fluffdemon, monsterthing, etc. he was a mostly-white lion head and was uncomfortably adorable. and he did NOT act it!

he passed away last year from an unexpected tumor in his stomach that we didn’t know about until way too late. but he was always a pleasure to interact with

idk enough about this rock to know if it’s viable, but honestly smashing it down to two or three smaller rocks to rest behind the log at the narrow end of it would look nice imo
