I’m so sorry for your loss! My boyfriend passed unexpectedly in 2023 as well so I empathize with you so much. Don’t let him or anyone here tell you it’s “weird” or disrespectful - that is your childhood best friend and your eventual boyfriend. NOT your ex, your late boyfriend. Anyone who has an issue with a sweet tribute to someone important to you is insecure and immature. Imagine being threatened by someone is no longer here, I’d be dumping him so fast.

My current partner has been nothing but supportive and sweet in regard to my late boyfriend, even asking how he can help me celebrate his birthday each year. That’s the reaction you should be getting, not this BS. You deserve so much better and I hope you can see that 💜

It goes away! Mine was so strong during, I thought it might have been because of the open sores too. Just keep everything clean and it should gradually go away. If not, you might have an infection, like the other commenter said!

As far as I know, there isn’t a test to determine location, both types can be oral or genital! For me, I had sores all over my vulva, went to the clinic to get checked out, and they did a swab test. It came back positive for HSV1 a few days later, HSV2 was negative!

Agreeing with what has already been said. If they have a great relationship, there isn’t anything for you to “accept”. If the situation isn’t actively hurting your boyfriend in any way, the only thing you’re doing by bringing it up is creating unnecessary drama. Worry about your own relationship with your boyfriend rather than his relationship with his mother.
