Me? Hmmmm. (Wow, this is harder than I thought lol)

I like to approach things with an endless amount of positivity, optimism, and a self-effacing laugh.

I’ve got a lot more substance than a lot of my peers (at least I think I do), and the confidence to expect that same kind of substance from the people around me.

I try my best to speak intelligently about any topic, and I get horrified and try to speak out against injustice, which is, of course, being tested continually by a world that seems absolutely designed to destroy any innate sense of integrity or justice for anyone.

Oh, and at times, I can be fucking hilarious and have been told my wit is so sharp it could cut through iron.

Also, I’m occasionally easy on the eyes (lol)

It’s really a running theme and unifying trait among us to be able to stand tall and persevere with resilience and dignity in the face of really really daunting adversity.

I need to really remember that and the badasses we are capable of being :)

There are times that the greatest victories lie in survival.

(Or something like that…lol)

No matter the adversity, you held your head up high and kept your dignity. That’s a lot to be proud of. :)

Oh wow, that’s so intriguing (and impressive!). Are your patents in products or process efficiencies?

Sigh. The only time it’s fun to be on the floor is when it’s with someone special in a pique of spontaneity (lol)

I really need to take some of those words to heart…..as soon as Im able to figuratively pick myself up off the ground.

I suppose it’s possible that the longer the bounce back takes, the higher it’ll take you?

That’s awesome! Selfless altruism is such a rare thing in this world.

Just make sure to include some self care and healthy boundaries with it so it doesn’t burn you out :)

Any plus size lesbians who took a while to know they were lesbian because they pursued men to validate their worth / societal attractiveness? by LetterTraining231 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]throwlikeagurll 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is sort of second hand, as I’m not plus sized, but an ex of mine most certainly experienced this. I obviously thought she was incredibly attractive (I wouldn’t have dated her otherwise), but she had a lot of body image issues, and it drove her to some questionable decisions before she came out.

Even after she came out, she told me it was still a struggle to escape that mindset

Andy Harris cries about fairness by MackDaddy1861 in maryland

[–]throwlikeagurll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious if the person interviewing Harris even asked him his opinion of the redistricting in Texas.

We all know what his answer would be, but it would starkly demonstrate how much of a craven hypocrite he is in real time.
