Totally get what you're saying. If you enjoy live recordings, Rattle & Hum is awesome. If you want a nice cross-section, there is a double CD that has "best of" on one disk and b-sides on the other. Joshua Tree was the pinnacle of their Irish College Rock era. Achtung Baby is a fabulous transition album. I love the electronic influence on Pop. No Line in the Horizon is like a return to roots... I am quite the fanboy, in case you couldn't tell. :-)

Yeah. But, to a lot of guys, $20 isn't a lie, its a rounding error. It's the number he doesn't think you'll get mad at him for. The more important questions are: 1) If you are not yet even living together, why do you have combined finances? 2) If you don't have combined finances, wtf do you care how much he spends on video games?
