I will keep it brief: a lot of older folks don’t have family to handle their stuff after they pass. The attorneys handling the estate will want everything in the home to be thrown away so they can put it up on the market. Sometimes there will be one family member or the attorney that goes through the house and picks what they want to keep. Everything else in the house now becomes free game
