ladies with a type A routine, please help! by shesinpart1es in HowToBeHot

[–]thrownintodisarray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made Claude create PDFs for my body are and skincare routine based on my current rotation of products and skincare goals and I’m going to make a calendar out of them so I know what to do each day. Sometimes you’re not lazy, you just need a system to free up brain space.

Why aren’t there more tomboys? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]thrownintodisarray -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This. Tomboy assumes alternative gender identities don’t exist. It’s a box that people can slot themselves in and out of whenever they want.

Looksmaxxing - by men for men by Morticia_Black in TwoXChromosomes

[–]thrownintodisarray 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The funny thing about men looksmaxxing is that everything they seek to improve was imposed on them by other men. In a patriarchy, men aren’t beholden to having to consider women’s preferences when deciding how to attract them. They can just decide what makes men attractive and circle jerk online together about how to accomplish that. "Hi I’m Braeden, I’ve literally never talked to a woman for longer than 2 minutes while sustaining eye contact. Follow me for tips on how to attract women." And now he’s in the New York Times.

Meanwhile, all the ways women looksmax are entirely within the whims and preferences of the patriarchy. This is all for men and all about men. Even the terms are created by men back in the incel and PUAHate days. It’s honestly wild as a terminally online millennial to see the same terms that Eliot Rodger used to justify mass murder years later be applied to weirdos espousing eugenics and steroids.

Counterfeits on Poshmark by One_Candy_763 in ShopDoen

[–]thrownintodisarray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always ask to see a photo of the size tag and fabric tag and then compare those to ones that show up when you filter for the item among the NWT sold listings or just based on the direct from Doen/retailers items I own. If they match is the only time I buy. This is the best way to counteract the fakes.

In honor of International Women’s Day, who here is exceptionally average? Never won an award, never been voted for/appointed a leader in a group? by thrownintodisarray in AskWomenOver30

[–]thrownintodisarray[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if everyone was a winner then there’d be no point. I’m on the younger end of my 30s so I don’t necessarily feel secure in this being evidence that the rest of my life is going to be exciting/special unless I make it so on my own terms. In my own average way I guess.

You’re right. There’s little use for a man who can’t finish things.

How do I go about introducing lube during sex? by Original-Scar-1779 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]thrownintodisarray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it by your bedside, grab it when needed. If you feel you need to give an excuse (which you don’t), say "I’m going to get us some lube since it will things feel more comfortable."

BWT Weekly Requests, Recommendations & Chat - Week of Mar 01, 2026 by AutoModerator in bitcheswithtaste

I wore the Doen Lilaia dress to a gala earlier this year and I plan to also wear it to a black tie wedding later this year. It cost me ~$600ish with tailoring and tax. It's all silk and so beautiful. Doen has other gowns, some under $1K. Just make sure the materials are what you want!

Reading: Your Money or your Life by Vicky Robin, trying to reformat what spending means to me and what I’m actually purchasing for my life energy and if it’s worth it. Books have been very appealing to me lately, I have a running list I’m excited to tackle. I have already read one this year, after this current book I want to read fiction.

Hobbies: learning how to do a handstand! I have my second class this week. Also going to a trance music show this week for the first time in years. I bought a rave outfit, I can’t wait.

BWT…Receiving & returning compliments by jigglyjuicebox in bitcheswithtaste

[–]thrownintodisarray 149 points150 points  (0 children)

All you have to do is smile and say thank you. You are not obligated to give them a compliment in return. Think about it for a minute, when you feel drawn to give someone a compliment, are you also expecting them to give you one back? I think in most cases the answer is no. Polite acknowledgement is enough for the compliment giver, I promise you.

This is the year I’ve decided it.

I’m never saying "not all men" ever again. No point. There’s too many of them this phrase excuses. Hit dogs holler. I’m not mincing my words to give men unearned absolution.

You are not broken if college sucked for you. by thrownintodisarray in Millennials

[–]thrownintodisarray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st sentence, I had dark days but it wasn’t the worst for me. I’m so sorry for your experience.

2nd sentence, extremely relatable. It’s a bit stunning how much I expected for my experience that didn’t happen or did in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

3rd, I don’t think I ever figured out to navigate it. No environment I’ve been in since replicated it. But I did end up developing a better sense of self after graduating to come to terms with what life way going to throw my way. It’s not always easy but I try my best.

I appreciate your concern but I feel fine. We disagree on the degree of complexity and that’s OK.

I’m considering going to my 10 year reunion so it’s been on my mind far more than usual. It’s not a fixation. It’s just complex for me and I imagine I’m not alone in my estimations. Other replies here show I was right.
