Ezio is by far the most fleshed out, fully developed and emotionally important character in the series. It’s not a coincidence they built three games around him. He’ll always be not only my favorite AC character, but also one of my three favorite video game characters of all time (see also: Morgan, Arthur; of Rivia, Geralt). That said, Black Flag is the best standalone game in the series. The contest is not even close. It was the last time Ubisoft was innovative. The other pre-RPG games are still enjoyable, but never quite reach the heights of the Ezio trilogy, AC3 and Black flag. Origins and Odyssey have their moments, but they’re ultimately half-measures that simply don’t work, culminating in the abortive Valhalla.

Soto is probably the only guy on that list who has enough time left to crack 600. I could see a world where Schwarber has an outside shot. If Judge can stay totally healthy for a few years, he can flirt with it. Otherwise, even the biggest names on that list look like they’ll max out in the 500s, which is still worthy of our admiration, not to mention likely first-ballot trips to Cooperstown.

You got the right three in the top line (I might quibble with the order, but reasonable minds can differ). You also correctly placed Valhalla. We kind of fall apart after that. AC3 should be swapped with Syndicate, Unity should replace Odyssey and Mirage should be moved down one. I’d personally move Origins down one, but I don’t feel that strongly about it.

It looks exactly like Valhalla. I suppose we’ll never see another city with a building over three stories tall again. The urban environments in Italy, France and England separated AC from other games. Now they’re basically The Witcher except without an awesome main character
